I had dial up when the game first came out. Ya it took longer to load but i could still do missios with people. They just had to wait a little...
Ya you have to kill him but hes not too hard, just run up kill him then run across the bridge. Mission completed.
I just use the GW ladder, seems to work best for me. Its easy to find guilds and easy to read.
