yes the skill is very situational but this 1 skill alone can pretty much screw over a minion master build so its worth the risk of bringing it.

the only problem is that there are not enough pets to make an impact, plus like you said, its pointless for pvp.

Well they leave that loose end presumibly for chapter 2, just like any movie that plans to make a sequel.
