Guild Wars Taught Me About Being a Woman
ChaoticCoyote
The following is a TRUE story. And for our household, this dialog isn't all that unusual...
"Hey Dad! Some Wammo is molesting your character!"
I'd been AFK for a moment, and returned to find my lovely ranger woman surrounded by Wammos. She's been standing quietly at the Xunlai reps in Lion's Arch, minding her own business.
"Get off of her you perverts!" I growled, moving her quickly away from the prowling masses.
They CHASED me. Yup, those iron-clad numbskulls CHASED my poor ranger all over. I finally warped to the Temple of Ages, only to have *another* Wammo start molesting my character!
The daughters found this highly amusing.
I asked my lovely wife, "Do guys just come up an cop a feel in real life?"
All four females in the room nodded.
"Maybe you shouldn't wear that armor," my middle daughter suggested.
"Why not?" I asked. After all, I think Alanora looks quite fetching in her Black 15k Druid's set.
"It's hot in Kryta," I explained. "You try wearing full leather body armor in the jungle."
"Uh-huh," my wife replied knowingly.
"Well, I don't rub my character against some husky monk!" I protested.
"Monks are celibate, Dad," said my oldest daughter. "That's why you can't find any."
And so it goes...

The dialogue between Cynn and his "friends" is priceless; I really think Eve should have gotten in on the sarcasm as well.

For some reason, this happens to my female ritualist when I disrobe and dance in The Marketplace. :dunno:

ROFL...LOL...
Ok I get the same respons with my poor Ritualist. She has 15k exotic dyed white and every Whammo out there must do the bump and Grind. It does get anoying after a while. Somtimes id like my Ritualist to actualy wear a Burka to keep perv's away. I guess I'll have to have my wife pic my armor from now on.

You have been wammo'ed.
Thankfully that stopped happening to me since i dont AFK in populated areas much ^^
True story:
Im doing laundry, so i left my necro afk in LA. i told my guildmate that id check in from time to time and dared her to find me (i was in district 5), with the only hint being "I'm AFK in tyria somewhere".
So i do laundry..come back little while and find my guildmate next to my char, she invites me, i join her and congratulate her and promptly go afk again.
I come back later and find myself in our guild hall. Apparently my poor necro was being wammo'ed and she decided to zone me there cause she didnt wanna see it happen ^^;

My warrior doesn't bother the ladies. Except the Xunlai Agent, he'll hump those if he gets in the mood.

I speak for about 3% of wammos when I say that some of us value gentlemanly conduct and not mindlessly gyrating over female characters. But the other 97%..

So now it seems the term "WHAMMOED" has taken on a whole new meaning.

I met my wife at a RuneQuest PnP RPG session some 24 years ago. I was playing an intelligent ninja duck who specialized in Quack-Foo, and my first word to her was "Quack."
Yup, a gamer girl is worth her weight in gold.
Yeah, they're good girls. The oldest is about to leave the nest; fortunately, I think she'll be able to handle real world Wammos...
As for me, I just want a /kickinnuts emote.
Talon one
thats why my first move after signing on is usualy the switch to the international district. less wammos
Cash
happens to my characters all the time too. i usually respond with "congrats on hitting on a 30 year old male."

molesters seek the reaction from the person behind molested character. Just ignore them and they will go away quickly.
SaGGGan
I have the same problem with the mesmer 15k enchanters and 1,5k kurzicks armor
and with my 15k aeromancer and the 1,5 luxon armor
i really wonder why

what about being randomly hugged on?
Samuel Dravis
I've molested the avatar of Dwayna in public before.

We all know that the Wammo's are boys who just can't get any in real life and are trying to make up for their shortcomings, so they are stuck with crotch thrusting a bunch of data.

Or start dancing in front of them with a male ele. There's your /kickinnuts emote.

I'm female but I usually play males on MMORPGs, it's just nice to be able to go around the worlds without being molested, propositioned and have crude, stupid jeers thrown at me.

I had a male rit molesting my femme necro the other day. He chased me all around and since I was at aspenwood waiting for a game there wasn't a 2nd dist to zone to.
Solution: I ran into a mob and "inside" a big AFK male warrior. It was funny to see the rit running around looking for me while I hid within my huge meat shield.

You know, I don't have a problem with my ranger being admired, or my old mes, they both enjoy the attention from the opposite sex.. but.. my new, innocent-looking mes does't appreciate the attention.
We came up with a wonderful solution.. shoulda seen the ranger who had hit on me react when my male mes from my other account, suddenly showed up between us and started hitting on him and then chased him through Dunes
To the OP..yeah, 15k druids will get you that type of attention

I never do the AFK (or sit) emote with my gal characters! That's just an invitation for Wammos. And my lady ranger doesn't dance (Talk about you're mail-order strippers!), she's got her dignity!

I've never done anything of the sort with my warrior.. but today I saw a male monk standing innocently and there was a female ranger standing on the same stop, but facing him.. She was playing the guitar.. you know how the female ranger bends her back and then moves forward while she dances.. Looks like they are making..
