I give up. I'm only going to respond and help those who understand that you need to U MAP, not World (M) Map. Although, I could have fun by pointing out random spots on your map and make you go there in hopes that I'm right. =) Please don't be a dick. You can check people's maps from the (M) Map, you simply use LuXa's method (also known as the difference method) as I describe very clearly in the OP.

I don't use this method myself, but from what I hear it is very effective in Elona.

Note: At this time, I won't be comparing people's maps myself as I am still working on gathering relevant information for the thread, and comparing maps is extremely time consuming. Silent Vex has been doing some comparisons, but at the moment there isn't much support for it. So most of you guys will be on your own for a time, and no amount of bumping your posts is going to change that. If you see someone posting results for map comparisons, thhat would be a good time to post your own, otherwise you should reserve this thread for asking specific questions in order to help yourself find the areas you may be missing.

By all accounts, this is the easiest of all exploration titles to get, so if you follow the suggestions in the OP you shouldn't have too many problems.

I havent had time to check over the past pages to see if this has been answered, but I have a small spot that I cant find a way to...

in the Consolate (sp) docks mission, theres a small building or something on the far east side of the mission area...
It looks almost like a 'guest room' for the docks and is connected to the entire dock cresent by a bridge.

I'm missing the southern border of that small building and I cant find a way out too it... its a jail cell and you can fully explore it once you do the mission Pogahn Passage if you pick Margrid the Sly as a hero instead of Master Of Whispers.

Can I go back and grab Margrid later on and still do the mission?

Livingston I'd rather not be a giant penis about this, but U Maps are far better to judge by. The method of tabbing back and forth works wonders. I'm also able to use your maps, and compare area by area just by staring at it. Tiny areas sometimes will jump out at me, and I'm pretty decent at catching them. As I said earlier, it's harder when you are at 99.9%

As I said, I too prefer the U map method, but telling others that their maps can only be checked using it is simply untrue.

I have also found a few people who could find areas using LuXa's method that can't be detected using the U map method as the difference can only be seen in the zoomed out map and not in the U map. An example of this is the Jade Brotherhood base in Cantha near Budek Byway which when uncovered creates a line in the water that can only be seen in the zoomed out map.

Also as LuXa's difference method uses a program to find the spots rather than a human eye, you can check the entire map with the click of a button, and thus can find many spots on multiple people's map in a number of minutes. Thus even though the U map method is more exact and detailed, LuXa's is much more efficient and less time consuming.

Of course the best possible way to determine what someone is missing is to do LuXa's method first, then U map search for any additional spots that may have been missed.

However, since Elona is a lot easier to explore than Tyria and Cantha, you may not need any more areas than what you find with LuXa's method.

That being said, I do appreciate the time you are taking to check people’s maps. If you prefer to use the U map method, so be it. Ask people to post their U maps and that you would be happy to check them if they will, but you can’t use their zoomed out maps. Don’t insult people (even indirectly) though if they don’t do so. If they don’t want to post U maps for people who are taking their time to check their maps, then that’s their loss.
