More accurately it would mean that you chose a familiar task as the proposed “challenge.” But I digress, Guild Wars pve isn’t about competition, it’s about playing for fun. The fact that you seem to feel the need to prove you’re better at pve speaks quite a bit about your attitude.

This is just bullshit rationalization; you’re trying to make up things in order to feed your point. In reality, I don’t know many pvpers who haven’t done pve before, and quite a few still farm certain areas like UW, FoW or the elite missions. You don’t have to do pve everyday to know game mechanics and pve zones.
The reason people say pvp requires more skill is due to the random and adaptive nature of the opponents you face. Individual player skill, build quality and ability to operate as a team all play major parts in being successful in pvp. In pve, the individual skill required is much lower, due to the fact that areas are static and enemy IA is largely unchanging and predictable, as well as the fact that no real coordination beyond focusing fire is required. This is evidenced by the fact that even horrible players can finish the pve game, and 90% of all pve warriors are deluded into thinking “stance tanking” is a worthwhile addition to a party.
Yes, pve does require some skill, and yes there are some very good pve players, who come up with creative builds and tactics for certain areas. However, the skill required to be successful in pve is still much lower than it is in pvp, simply due to the nature of the game types. This is true in any game where you face static AI rather than actual humans. For example, Street Fighter is easily beat on the hardest settings by an average player, but playing online or in tournaments isn't something that everyone can excell in. Same thing goes for Chess, or literally any other game with a 'multiplayer mode.'
DOn't get me wrong though, I’m not bagging on pvers, and I don’t consider them noobs or scrubs like some might - they’re playing the part of the game they enjoy, which is what the game is all about, right?
However, pve titles are more about grinding than they are any measure of actual success, which is what pvp titles and emotes denote. So I think it’s silly to award every single title with an emote, although I do think that Kind Of A Big Deal and the Faction transfer titles should receive emotes.

First, HA isn’t the only kind of pvp in the game. Secondly, knowing maps, builds and counters would fall under experience, not skill. Skill comes in when you actually get down to using that experience to execute counters, exploit weaknesses and outsmart your oponents. For example, when a good interrupt ranger waits to distract a 3/4 cast, that's skill. When a team forces a morale boost through tactical pushes, that’s skill. Farming ectos may take a bit of skill, but it hardly compares.
