15x4 sounds about perfect to me. It should take someone who wants to work/farm for them about 4 weeks to get them, and those who want to buy it about the same as FoW armor.

To all those that are complaining about the difficulty/replay-ability of DoA:
1. Please consider that this is not a part of the game you need to beat.
2. Please keep in mind that there are quite a number of players that are looking for something this difficult in order to present them with a challenging end-game.
3. The items that you are able to receive from the rewards in this mission are really no different than anything you can create from gold items/find on most greens. The only difference is it allows those that take the time to complete the mission a chance to show off the different skins.
While, I can understand the frustration some of you have about a lack of end-game content - the end-game for guild wars can really be found in the name of the game "Guild Wars". There is really nothing inherently related to guilds warring in the PvE content; meaning that for those of you that don't PvP, perhaps you chose the wrong game.
Personally, I do both and have completed chapters/quests/missions with numerous players and still haven't finished nearly as much as I would like to. There is always something to do, you just need to find out what suits your needs. If its not DoA - then do something else. If you can't find something, maybe you chose the wrong game.

doa is just fine as it is, its pretty much fun there. now they make double drop, it even make easier than before, also titan gem i believe will drop soon to 30k ish or 50k ish

If henchies are worthless and can not make it past the first group of mobs then who cares if they are added? You can not know if henching is possible or not as we do not have the option, if it is as many say impossible then no harm done and you shouldn't care if I waste my time dieing against the first wave.
I rather suspect that it's more what one person said - there will be a way to either clear it or kill enough to farm with them allowing people to bypass groups. For people who only like to group with other people that makes getting groups harder, but it sucks even more if you are like me and refuse to group anyway. I have no option, I can't spend a bit more time, I just write the areas off. However, I'm used to it and have already accepted that as part of the game - it has been that way since prophecies. I have only two end game areas I can realistically enter and play (while I can 55 monk UW and areas of FoW that isn't exploring the areas and taking quests).
I've yet to find any area, mission, or bonus that allows henchies that one can not hench, and after working at a little while hench more consistent than with anything other than a guild group or experienced cookie cutter farming build (it was widely believed to be impossible in ToPK, but we now see how "impossible" that really is).
Of course, DoA is MUCH harder than ToPK - maybe it is finally an area that you can not. But we will never know unless we are allowed them in there and I will not count them out, especially with the new hero system. After all - until the 105 monk build if I told you that I was going to solo the Underworld with a monk what would your response have been?

heres an idea, lets all chip in and buy zinger an ambrace, since he/she obviously wants one handed to him/her anyway. everyone didnt get fow armor in a week or 2, it took time. you seem to pride yourself on answering any question so answer this: Why bother caring? Why post a bunch of crap complaing about this and that and how YOU can't be bothered with it, or have the time or blah blah blah.
You could just say something like: there is no endgame content for the casual gamer in NF. Which is true, their isn't. Once your done with NF there isn't a single thing pve related to do in thats productive. Instead you complain about an area put in the game which clearly isnt made for people of your skill level. 15 of each gem with 2x the drop rate now is actually pretty awsome and reasonable for rare items. Upset you can't get them? Your playing an mmorpg, thats how it goes, you dont get the rarest of the rares handed to you. To get anything you gotta put some work into it.
"but anets sell line was you didnt need to play 24/7 to be competitive." which is pretty much all they said, you don't need to play very much to get max armor/weapons and get valuable skills for your toons. However, people like to show off in mmo's, its the only thing to pride yourself on in pve. THATS what this area is for. This elite area doesn't give me ANYTHING better than anyone else has, just the satisfaction of beating it, then after spending a good amount of time in there, you get rewarded with the choice of an ambrace or coffer or a pretty much useless rit hero. This update will be excelent, it will give the skilled players places to go to get valuable items which they will be able to sell to make some good money or keep to show off. This is a skilled player reward, an alternative to mindnumbing farming which takes no skill at all. I do wish they would have realized the junk my guild and I have been getting in coffers is just straight merchent fodder (2 scrolls and an elixir of valor yay!) before putting it out, but whatever, its a chance you take and why you play the game.
In conclusion: be happy we even got anything, want to complain? go ahead, you just make yourself look like a fool. Make suggestions not complain. Its far more likly to get a positive response.
And yes, this is a giant complaint about people complaining in order to tell to look at it differently or just don't bother posting.

Enchanted Warrior
"Improve the quantity of some of the items obtained from the Coffer of Whispers. Now, it's important to note that the Coffer of Whispers is a bit of a game of chance, much like the locked chests throughout the game world. Therefore, there will be a wide variance in the items that you receive. "
Bad news for farmers LOL
Personally I wrote off loot/chests etc... prior to nightfall. Most frequent drops are junk. One plus with nightfall is the collector and weapons dealer items are actually pretty good, stats wise and the overall look.

Oh i know....how about cold hard cash for the World Championships?
I really dont see whats so wrong with giving incentives to those who are willing to do what it takes to get it.
It gives people something to do :P
Besides....its not like theres a limited amount of items.

I understand why most of you are upset about the difficulty of obtaining the rit hero razah. But in all honesty, rits are pretty much useless seing as basically everything they can do, something else is just as good at. So atleast its not like it being the only monk hero or something =P. But i do understand, they should make his aquisition easier for the average player. Give it time something could allways change.
And lyra, trying to explain basic principles such as those to zinger obviously seems to be uselss...some people just expect everything to be handed to them.

Meh. I give up. Time will tell.
But if DoA even makes it to 3 districts when the changes are instituted, I'll be surprised.

I'm sure the double drops will bring some people back. Greed is human nature. The question is whether they'll stay.
And I'll be there too, with the rest of the WTB crowd.

To the so called "hardcore" players...
You complain that people whine about GoA and yet that is the very thing you all did previous to GoA.
WAAA GW is to easy!
WAAA make GW harder! WAAAA
Well BOOHOO, like you tell everyone now if it's to hard don't play it.
You should have taken your own advice and NOT played such an easy game or whined about it. Then
the rest of us would still have a FUN game without YOUR whining!
STOP YOUR whining and go play another game!
Now with that out of my system...
I actually couldn't care less if GoA is hard or not, it just annoyed me to see the so called hardcores
complaining about people whining when that is ALL they did previous to this fiasco.
Actually, they are still whining only now they are whining about other people whining.
In a few months they will no doubt be whining about GoA being to easy.
Congrats A-net you created yet another never ending loop of whine. YAY!

I don't understand why the number of districts would matter. This is an elite area, made for the top % of people. The items from the ambrace will be valued high providing the skins are desirable. This is where the skilled players will be able to make money by questing. The fewer the districts, the fewer people farming it, the more everything will be worth. The only downside to this is that people like you won't have ease of access to the skins, oh well, thats how it goes. About time skilled pve'rs got rewarded for doing what they do best.

I think what im more concerned about is....are those special weapons actually GOOD looking that someone will be willing to buy it. Or will their value be based solely on the fact that they are so hard to get?
Having a rare item thats not desirable sucks!
I think Aezix is a troll account.....

Maybe I'll be part of them in the future, as i don't really feel to pay for gemstones.
Anyway, the majority of players will only notice that razah is still trapped in there.
And when Anet will announce chapter 4 and his elite mission, the majority will want to know beforehand if they'll actually be able to play it, I believe

Thanks ANet for not making the area easier, but increase the rewards instead. That's the way to go, IMO.
What exactly do you have in mind? A farming area with foes of moderate difficulty who drop great loot? A "cash machine" area for the average cookie cutter solo farming build? I really hope that ANet do not intend to add such an area!
Oh ... wait a second ... they already have. Most of the game fits that description.

Sorry but like it or lump it thats just what ALOT of people want, i dont know why it seems so strange to cater to a large number of players because a few people dont want it.
I want hard challenging areas, i also want sorrow areas, because there always easy to get groups and have a quick bash at, hard areas need a little more dedication.
Sorry but intentionally designing your end game area for the minority just dosnt make sense, but im not saying we cant have both.

I'm pretty happy about this, GJ, Anet. 15 (of each) gems seems a lot more reasonable, while still being pretty difficult to obtain. As others have said, this is pretty much FoW armor-equivalent weapons. I'm fine with that. Unlike FoW armor, I actually want to acquire a few of these, so I might just have a nice goal, now.
I do really wish they would free Razah from his god forsaken gem prison already. He doesn't smell like an Elite reward to me, but rather an 'end-game' hero.
Grolubao
The real problem isn't the low rate drops, it's basically the low number of people actually doing DoA that makes Gem's a gold sink. So basically they haven't done anything special.
