Guild wars chapter 4
toon-a-loon
I like to play guild wars a lot, but it does have it down falls sometimes. I usally get use to it in the long run anyways. Anet is still getting better and that is why the topic of this thread is called "Guild wars chapter 4" It seems that the next chapter is going to be HUGE!! A lot of new content, not just a expansion to a storyline. I hear a lot of talk about it will have new races and maybe mounts and more in depth graphics even though the graphics right now are very nice.
I want to hear from you guys and girls if you think the next chapter might be huge or not. The more we talk about what might be in the next chapter the more ideas we give to anet to help them out in making a better game.
Good Job so far Anet!!!!

*looks around..there really isn't another thread for this already*
but anyway. Umm i don't much about CH4 and most of the rest is speculation. Of course its going to be huge, its another Chapter in GW. IMO most GW players love getting new content and gameplay and the like. Its like a giant holiday event but it comes to stay. We'll jus have to wait to se what CH4 brings us.
...I thought i read somewhere that they were going to announce the new chapter soon...

i dont know if this is a clue but at the end of Nightfall you can hear Cynn saying "I don't like peace, let's go back to tyria." So maybe the next chapter will go back there

well there's already "mounts" in NF.. the wurms.. so there will probably be something else like that in the next chapter.

Um...Guyz, maybe you should pay attention to some other things.
Here is some teasers presented by Anet staff (check GWONLINE.COM for sources) :
Think Mursaat, Think Mursaat's city, Think Preserved Territory, Think Orr and Atlantis, Think Anarctica.
Think Gwen, Think Shapes, Think Punks, Think Maya people, Think and Think until you figure something out.

There have been no official announcements from Anet, nor have Gaile, Alex or any other Anet rep provided information in regards to chapter 4. More than likely there will be a chapter 4 but at this point there is nothing official on the matter therefore anything you've heard is just rumor and hearsay from players who *hope* chapter 4 will be something like this. As of now there only evidence of a chapter 4 at all is the simple fact that Anet hasn't said they won't make a chapter 4. That is all we know until an Anet rep such as Gaile or Alex or the official site says otherwise.

Pretty much everything you mentioned in the orginal post is nowhere near confirmed and just guesses and wishes from some fans so.. yeah..

Im going to assume youve got your informing from the grape vine.
Ive not seen any threads or interviews with Anet staff about chaptor 4. Save go assume anything youve heard is rumour.
And everything you mention was th exact same speculation we heard about factions and NF before they were released.
NF was meant to be the same size as tyria and its no where near it.
I wouldnt put much faith in speculation and rumour as you get let down alot.

Freeked NF may not be exactly the same size as Tyria but it is more dense but not to the point of Canthan density, also NF has two extra realms that can't even be correctly measured, I would say that Elona is definitely as large, or larger, than Tyria, gotta look deeper than just "m".
Also, I agree that the next Chapter will be huge because it is starting a whole new set of stories. As Gaile has said before, Nightfall is closing off the "trilogy" that was Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. With this said I have a strong feeling that the next chapter will be massive in order to start a new story.

Hm...We must think geographically. Right now there are a lot of areas un-explorable in Tyria. For Example, all of former Orr, South of Ascalon, North of Kryta and Maguuma Jungle and South East of Maguuma. Also The new Chapter might take place south of Cantha. There is also North of Tyria in General, and West of Maguuma, which are all possible new maps for Chapter 4.
Taking all I have said above into consideration, there is also the possiblity of an island like continent like Antarctica, or Africa for that matter. No culture relation of course, just talking geographically. There WAS a mention from Gaile about Atlantis, though she immedietly said it was simply a teaser.
Well, until we have a real clue officially released by Anet, we cannot think of anything.
Good Luck all on Wintersday
PS: Has anyone ever noticed the similarity of the shape and also the histroy of Orr and Atlantis?
Search Thera and Atlantis on Wikipedia for more info.

What ever campain 4 is, I think that it will overwrite the previous 3. You talk to a NPC and get a "Time Passes" message and come back to see:
Old Ascalon fixed up to it's presear glory, new ascalon a thriving city, the Pricess is now in charge, the White mantle are dead, in prision, or pledged loyalty to the new Lion Guard, and the Maguuma jungle is an independant nation lead by Evennia.
Catha, is at relative peace there are no more afflicted, the forrest and seas are back to normal and the city is fixed up.
Elonia, is back to the way it should be the provences are at peace with each other and the Sunspears are the peace keeping force.
Cue the new threat in a far away land, and we seem to be the only people who can stop it.

ok.. *spoilers*
FIrst off Orr, is the RoT, the place that used to be Orr has sunk down to become the Realm of Torment.. there, done. Second, I believe the threat to the north would be charr, since charr came from the NORTHERN wall to attack ascalon and cause the searing. Oh and Markaed time already does pass between the chapters.. the events in Cantha happen roughly around the time of the Tyrians getting to Kryta, and the even in Elona happen 6 months(or is it three years?) after the Tyrians killed the Lich, and the Canthans killed shiro.
ooo btw, that just gave me a thought. The "horrible place" that the envoys took shiro could very well have been the Realm of Torment.

This thread should be blown to bits. Way too much speculation and rumour spreading in the OP and it's being passed off as fact.
Rebirther
with all the spec, if you actually replay the ending and listen to the words spoken by the narrator..
something along the lines of :
This marks the end of the five gods *hint*!
so obviously the next installment will be completely different and *new*......

Warmaster Patton
I think more advanced would be sweet, like machines and stuff (I'm thinking like 1800-850 here, not too early, but more advanced) Towns with shops and stuff, not just people selling stuff outside buildings, going in buildings would be cooler.
The enemy: a rouge country with it's way too modern equipment for the times, while we still have things just a bit more advanced than the other chapters, they have thing's like railroads and cannons.

Mounts would be good I think, and if they made mounts they could make a ridiculously big map with lots of exploring to do ^_^
As for Warmaster Pattons suggestion, I personally think machinery would be a bad idea but the idea of having real towns is a good idea.

Gwen has become the Charr Queen and launches a new invasion of Ascalon, taking over everything ... then we must stop her from taking over Kryta and moving down to Elona on the same ships used by the players. Domain of Anguish ... pssshaw. Gwen's Great Invasion will put it to shame.

1st of the month is usually a default date, since they dont have an exact one.
I'd expect end of april really, like chapter 1 and 2.

I have mixed feelings about chapter 4. Whild I love GW and love to get more content, the audience isn't growing, but the area is. Thus, the population gets more and more diluted, and the game gets closer and closer to single player. (This is for PvE alone).
In any case, I think it would be really cool if ch4 was a prequel. Like if it was in the time of or slightly before the Guild Wars. I really doubt that will happen, but I think it would be awesome.

I totally missed the whole "there will be a chapter 4" thing, can anyone show me where this was said?
Also, if we return to Tyria or there abouts surroundings, i think we may re-ally the Mantle and Mursaat. Turns out we should have been friends all along and kept the bloody door shut Possibly the only thing we still feel uneven on is Hablion's "Chosen Murders", oh and the fact they're trying to overthrow the Liongaurd... which no one really cares about (or is that just me?). Anyway, we kinda started fighting with them over the whole Chosen Murders, so retaliation was inevitable, and thus the rest of Prophecies.
Robin_Anadri
I want to know more about the Ancient Seer's race. They're obviously related to the Mursaat, possibly even the same species but different political faction. And since they helped us defeat the mursaat to open the Door of Komalie... thus releasing the Titans on the world - it throws their allegiance into question.
And did you notice how the Scepter of Orr just... vanishes... during the endgame cinematic? Curiously after Glint sent us running off after the boat. Did Glint take it? If not her, who? And why?

Personally, my checklist, what I would like to see for a Guild Wars chapter 4 release is as follows.
1) Mounts (horse, camel, elephant, pony, etcetera.) Basically anything that will allow you to normally increase your travel speed. Without having to equipm running skills. And I'm thinking that mounts should not be available at towns or whatever, but they should be available like outside in the explorable areas. Have a small stable area where you can rent horses or whatever for you and your party members (read: heroes / henchmen).
2) Machines. I would like a slight increase in the technology available. I'd like to see the increased use of black powder weapons like muskets and pistols. I'm not saying make a full out profession that uses guns as weapons, but you should be able to buy one-shot inventory items that let you do a one-shot ranged attack (with a musket or pistol) at an enemy. That would be incredibly cool. I want the new seige weapons of war to no longer be ballista and trebuchet. I want cannons, too. I want to see the beginnings of a railroad system. A means of getting from one town to another that you haven't actually had the chance to walk to yet.
3) Professions. Okay, yes, I AM saying that I want a full out profession that uses guns as weapons. I'd like to see a gunslinger profession. Dual wielding gun that can do a little more damage than an assassin's daggers, but with a slower attack rate. Gunslinger and maybe something else. Something like Warmonk where you can fight with your bare hands and feet. Awww yeah! Where you can like equip brass knuckles in order to attack with your bare hands and feet. So you don't have to completely restructure the game engine.
4) Limited Time Travel. I'd DEFINITELY love to go back to pre-searing and explore more of the Charr lands and find out maybe what it was that caused the Charr to invade first hand. See what we could do to maybe try to stop it, learn that time is unchanging, and no matter what you do you can't stop the inevitable. But still it would be incredibly fun to play around with. Pre-searing, and maybe use this limited time travel as a means of getting the slightly advanced technologies. Such as gunslinger and seige weapons, and the rail road system. The possabilities are endless!
5) Additional races. If this game was meant initially for humans only, then why even have another "friendly" race like the Shiverpeak Dwarves. Allowing additional races would not "break the game" like many people suspect. You don't have to have them with "different stats" just because they're dwarves, or Tengu. Just leave them with the same stats (or whatever) as humans, just with different skins. Dwarves and Tengu get no special treatment because they are dwarves or Tengu. Treat them like different proportioned humans and boom. Problem solved.
And if I think of anything else that I'd like to see in a future GW game, I'll add it... OH!
6) Missions to help clear land and help pave the way for railroads to other continents (like a railway from Tyria to Elonah -- only if you have both previous campaigns). Seriously! The possabilities are freakin' endless!!
