At least now there is another reason to go back and play all the old areas and missions agains as well as get special loot!
As for the titles, i'm guessing you'll either have blessings again or along with gold and expertise people will recieve a LB and SS points? That would seem like the mostly likely options.
Oh, the only other question would be do you have to have completed protector before you can start hard mode or can you have a character jump straight into hard mode? If you can jump straight into hard mode, how does the new title and the old protector level.
Otherwise, it looks awesome and worth the wait.

The replayability of this game just increase by an incredible amount. I loved the northern shiverpeaks, the jungle areas, etc, and I also love playing on my ele that finished the game, but there just wasnt a challenge going back there and playing anymore on that character. Now I get to re-experience all those environments, and be challenged...this is really great.

I have spent almost 500 hours on this character in Prophecies... can we toggle on HARD mode and off? I don't want to have to roll another character just to do hard mode all again... sigh... (I really DO want to start playing Nightfall soon!)
It would be nice if we could choose to go into hard mode or out of it... or just the hard mode mission for that matter...
Or maybe IF you have the Protector of Tyria (example) then you can access hard modes there... but not before...

I have had to adjust my P vs E game play because of P vs P game changes and balances and now I may have to adjust the titles I have earned because the developers are adding content that should have been added upon the release of the game before it hit the stores ? You did the grind to yourself, it was not necessary then and it will not be necessary in the future either.

Wow. I was kinda wondering if there was going to be something coming about along the lines of lockpicks. I believe I speak for many people who go through areas and can't get into those chests.
Hard mode sounds like a good challenge for me. I'm tired of not belonging to/running a large guild with highly experienced players just to go farm high-level loot from areas like UW/DoA. Sounds like this will keep me and my ungodly number of PvE characters busy for a long time.

I like the lock pick idea - will we get another chance at boardwalk games before hard mode comes
will chests being opened with a lock pick still count towards treasure hunter's title
will lock picks drop or be bought
What change will hard mode bring to the current protector title
will the skill title changes go into place at the same time as hard mode
Will the unlucky title track affect lock picking in a negative manner
will there be a bonus or masters part to hard mode
Will there be any Easter Eggs for Easter

reallly hope that you can toggle it off and on...and what happens if you are in a mixed group?? can someone sabotage the whole group by having their "hard mode" on while the others have it on normal? or will it take what the "leader" has for the whole group?

And i really don't like the fact that the Lucky title plays into a benefit of the game...I have lvl 1 lucky and unlucky and don't feel that it should really have an affects on the game play since it was earned by buy xxx tickets and going afk in one of the rings all weekend...atleast with the other titles you have to be there to get it. Drunk, sweettooth, in fact all of the titles you must be actively doing something...

Again, I'm more than thrilled and very anxious to find out more and get going on this Hard Mode when it comes out. Whether it be another month or a year, it doesn't bother me, because I have plenty to do in the mean time

It sounds like a blast, and I'm very grateful to Anet for giving us more free content.
However, I do hope that the new 'Hard' Mode is not like DoA, I hope there's a bit of strategy to it. Like a Thunderhead Keep. Doesn't matter what build you bring to do it as long as you have decent monks and work well together, you'll be able to pull through.
I hope they just don't put 200 high level enemies in one place and call it a challenge. 200 high level enemies that pull as one freaking group I might add. I also hope they don't employ gimmicks like, all squishies through gate, warriors use recall, necro's sacrifice themselves to death and get rebirthed on the other side. I don't know about anyone else but I find that kinda retarded.
But even if it is I'll still be here to play, guess I'm kinda retarded too.

Great news. As for how to toggle to hard mode, I'm thinking there will probably be "hard" districts and "normal" districts where the henchies will be different levels and you don't have to worry about people selecting the correct mode before going into an area. Just a thought...

Not entirely sure why a primarily AFk title (Lucky) should benefit anyone while chest running though, but not particularly bothered as I've never afk'd for Lucky, and can't be bothered investing gold in chests that rarely bring back a value of more than the keys I bought.

The comment about AoE scattering makes me wonder if it'll no longer happen in normal mode, but only in hard mode. And I can't decide if that would be good or bad.

Monsters being set to not run from AoE? Finally I can use cyclone axe without everyone and their brother running away.
Stopping PvE healers running away forever.... Would love not having to chase that stone summit priest halfway across the map while he's happily spamming mark of protection.

I like most of what was said, except for the lockpicks running off lucky/treasure hunting titles. While I agree with it running off the treasure hunting title, the addition of lucky to that seems a bit off. I understand, truly I do. But I consider myself a hardcore PvEr and spend much time taking several characters though all the games, thus I save my money. Now you're telling me that in order to raise my skill with the lockpicks, I have to wait for another event and spend my time standing in a circle spending my hard-earned cash on a lucky title?! I know that it won't change, but I wanted to voice my opinion on this one.
