So, to the dedicated PvPer, PvE now means nothing, thus futhering the divide between PvE and PvP.
That, in conjunction with the upcoming PvE-Only skills, signifies the ultimate divide between PvE and PvP.
I bought GW because of its effective pseudomerging of PvE and PvP. I'm a little disturbed by the segregation.
In practice, it may be nothing, as the skins are limited to only the Elite PvPers, and they may be quite expensive. But if I see Warriors running around with Elemental Swords and Crystalines in RA, there's going to be hell to pay.

I do not agree fully on the first statement, because well, we all have (somewhere deep inside) the feeling we wanna look good. Well at least I have that feeling.
This is also what worries me. Me and my friends casually pick up a random player or 2. Give them a decent, simple build and off we go to HA/TA. Same way in our GvGs we have 2 teams of regular GvGers and sometimes we put in a new guildie and do unranked games, so they can see if they like it or not.
What I tend to see happening is the current big hole of player experience that is (I do not think rank is a way to see if somebody is skilled yes or no, because even the most insane person can ebay or get rank farmed.) this new skin system will only decrease the possible random pick-ups. I got 3 accounts, one purely for storage (lol, you collect some stuff in 2 years and I can't get rid of it all... *jeej trade system* j/kin) one that is mixed PvE/PvP and the other one I just got pure PvP rolling... If I play on my storage account and look for a group and finally get accepted (1 hour later) in a team. They are amazed of my PvP capabilities, but when they see my PvP account they are like... Duh shes so good cuz of her rank! (WRONG) ... and I fear this will happen with the new rare skins aswel now. Take a look around, in the inter dis you need r3 at minimum or you won't get a team.
Not something I worry for because I will get into teams one way or another and still have the only fun I currently get from GW, besides farming, fact I did that for the looks nothing else. Farming HM, nah I rather go RA or something. At least 2 hours of work will get me some winning 10rollers.
I think the less skilled PvPer or starting PvP talent will only get a harder time getting into a team with this Unique Skins coming up.
As for the hardcore PvPers out there already know, skills can only be seen in the heat of GvG, down with a lot of DP and your team still comes out winning. And nah it doesn't matter balls how noobie our armors and weapons look like. Experience can't be bought. The points to 'show' the experience however, can.
