After EotN came out, I gained new respect for Factions. I like having to complete part of the story line to access different areas, instead of "Running to Cavalon 3k on arrival" popping up on Local Chat, like runners in Tyria. It just feels more vast and varied, with Kaineng City, the Echovald Forest and the Jade Sea dividing the game. I've found myself spending hardly any time in the other two games, and only went to EotN for the Fame weekends for armor for my ranger and mesmer and when guildies got together.

As for copyright....you are allowed to quote from an article, as long as you state its source. If Hawk had read the article, he would have seen this was just one paragraph. Otherwise, people would be sued every time they footnoted a quote in a paper. Term paper much?

We're deeply sorry the cats Vs Humans is so racist to you. But cats & the human race have had 100's of wars. Did you know Napeolon was actually a Cat? And Crusades? Cats. How do you think the Western Roman Empire was destroyed, by cats.

Cats is human/feline nature. But when humans fight humans, the line is crossed. Faction's took racist slurs (e.g Suxons) to a whole new level. It's disgraceful.

Also, Turtle banging people who live by the sea? I find that hard to believe.

Luxons, and Kurzicks are factions, or in other words, cultures. not races. they're both made of primarily whites/asians.

Factions is more pvp than pve... aside from anything, Alliance Battles are reason enough to get factions imo.

Im hoping that ANet makes one more expansion (at least!) for GW1... Similar to the expanded prophecies map with GwEn... do the same thing, but extending southwest off cantha. Heres what Id like to see...

* extend map southwest and south, expand kurzick forest and edit out the SW shore of the Jade Sea (ffs it looks barely big enough to be the Jade Lake as it is now!!!)
* add two or more Alliance Battle maps, and add in some more Competitive Missions (ala Fort Aspenwood... call them Scenario Battles or something... hell, even go and make it random on entry so that we actually use Jade Quarry every now and again haha)
* dont need more heros IMO, keep them in gwen and nf.
* did i mention they should do an expansion for Factions and add more scenario battles?

Factions is cool, but I recommend other chapters to new players.

Did I miss something, Mhenlo isn't from Cantha, he studied under Master Togo in his youth but was born in Serenity Temple in Tyria?

I think its a bit overboard to say Prophecies was racist, its part of the whole world of Guild Wars, it just happens to be the first installment, if it was racist, there would not have a Faction/Cantha and there would not have an Elona, Land of the Rising Sun with people/toon of different races. And you would not see the lion's guard nor will you see any Krytan both are different race from the white mental and tyrian/ascalonia. we probably wouldn't have all these choices either

My view about cantha, LOVE IT (I love all 3 chapters), and hope that in the near future when players starts to not go to elite mission anymore that Anet will finally allow us to bring heros and hench in elite mission, as it is, there's a tiny amount of players still frequent Urgoz Warren or The Deep that one can hardly get a decent group to play with anymore. I need my heros and hench in elite mission.

People keep thinking the Boat is the only way to Cantha. If I remember correctly there are underground Asuran Gates and 200years of possible repair before Cantha is truly cut off from Tyria. I would think /guess that there would be an alternate route to and from Cantha other than just boat.

To say that just because there is no oversea route that Cantha is fully closed off is silly. If worse comes to worse hire the Dredge they dug their way to Cantha.

Most of my characters are from faction. I still have a few old chars from prophecies still but considering the fact that you level up much quicker in factions made it a favourite for me for making chars. I even deleted a few prophecies chars to make faction ones. That being said, I am too cheap to pay for new character slots but I've been sorely tempted at times.

I loved Factions... well what can I say... I love all the GW Campaigns...

It was alittle cramped and confusing in the city areas... personally I prefer non linear open areas.

PvP Faction fighting isn't my thing... we are purely PvE in our mini guild.

AB is never empty

Its always Full thats the problem.

There are only 5 servers and about only 5 games can go on at a time.

So if a game is happening you cannot enter and it displays that orange notice.

I wonder why it never occurs to people that the number of Kurzies and Luxons waiting for mission are typically not balanced, and if there's an undersupply of opponents, you need to wait in line to get a crack at them. Instead they keep repeating these rediculous theories.

I've had a friend on one side, and me on the other

I counted 10 kurzick teams (not including mine, which would make 11...thats 44 people)

he counted 7 luxon teams (8 if you include his)

Thats more than enough to AB.

i've done this many times as well, seeing first hand, well over 15 full teams complaining about the wait. it has nothing to do with LACK of people if that's the case.

i liked factions i like ab and i still like runnign about in factions,

rewards for quests were better, and levelign was far quicker, gates were not too annoying.

only thing i disliked were the timed mission aspect with mastering.

i think that Cantha will be included in GW2 as an expansion.

I'm sure that Anet will not want to lose part of their lore.

Factions was an iffy campain. I'm happy about a few things they tried out, like how they tried to prevent running, getting a reward for finishing every mission, and alliances. But so much was screwed up. The storyline was really bad and REALLY short, Shiro was such a terrible villain, AB is made of fail and AIDS, mission bonuses were unoriginal, etc. It's easily my least favorite campaign.
