Yesterday, went to great temple to sell a zaishen key for 2.5k. Some guy offered to buy, and twice the idiot cancelled the trade window when the offers were up, accusing me of doing it. So the third time i was rushing and didn't even check trade, 250g.. gg.
I couldn't care less tbh - the joke is on him. If he needs to scam over a 2.5k trade, he really must be struggling for cash. Poor guy.

Yes, but the difference is that the guy you were selling to offered to pay more than it was worth, you didn't just flat out lie hoping that he was a noob. He was just hoping that since mini pig is gold I would believe that it was worth 20+k

Funniest scam attempt for me was someone whispering me saying their friend had a voltaic spear. Give him the money and he'd go get his friend to give me the spear. That master plan probably took him 5 seconds to think of....

A guy advertised a req10 ele sword for 150k in kamadan (that time it was worth ~300k), I told him that I wanna buy it. So I opened trade, he put in the sword, and I put in 100k+10e. Then he said: no 100k+10e, 150k. I told him I cant put in 150k in the trade window. For like 10 minutes I tried to make him understand I cant put in 150k at once, after that ~10mins he said that I give him 100k first, then 50k and he gives me the sword after the second trade. I said lol no, he called me a f*ckin noob and stuff like that.

Yah i have a few close friends that play this. ohhh boy do they love to scam. im not talking about just a little money, i've seen them scam like 40k and nothing on there part. here is one of there scams (hopefully they dont catch me writting on here ) anyway, they go to ascalon or w/e city and say "Anyone want to double your money? 1k--pay after im done." So he takes them outside and tells them to die. (before that he does some random b.s. ) then he uses unyeilding aura or w/e it is and sends them far away to drop all there money. they drop and he takes of spell. and thats how he gets all there money. haha i laughed when i first saw it but felt kinda sorry for the guy :P

I went and told him ill buy it. he said i need to give him 200k then hell give me the sword and continue with the 300k... Just to make it fair...so i gave him 100k..then another 100k..then he said hell give me the sword after the 3rd 100k thinking that i have no choice since i gave him 200k alrdy..i gave him another 100k. he then put the sword...then cancelled the thread and ignore me. I quit GW for a month cause i was so MADDD! I know its my fault but man people could be soo ruthless.... I reported him but nothing came out of it. Im happy to say that im "financially" stable again.

Anet did not promote it as a "full fledge addition", they billed it as the 1st expansion. They were crystal clear EotN was NOT a full campaign, nor did they charge the same price as the 3 campaigns which would be "full price". It was less expensive....so not full price.

he was my gate opener :P
he totally followed me to the gate first and wanted a payment without opening the gate lol
when i said cute, he was by the lever opening and closing the gates before i could go in for about a minute
i actually did get him killed on the second charr group :P

I also lure a load of Charr to them to get them killed and they stay and spam abuse at me for it. Then I get some good loot and they beg for it. I'm so glad I'm on to death levelling because I only need to endure one gate opener a day.
To be fair, some of them are quite nice and insist that you don't pay them. I'm always grateful for the nice gesture.

Nothing extreme or out of the ordinary, but I was selling my Amethyst Aegis for 100k, and some guy opened trade, not responding to anything.
He put in 100 gold, then spammed PRESS ACCEPT PRESS ACCEPT!!! HURRY.
i just loled and told him he was a failsauce scammer.
Another one was some guy trying to sell his guild, supposedly full w/ all NPCS, and a decent name i don't remember. Then, some other guy started spamming the same thing, cept he wasnt in the same guild, his tag was completely different. He was trying to sell it for 6k =.= and when i inquired to why he was in a differnt guild, his reply was in all caps: "HE"S MY BRO" I asked a few questions backand forth between the two guys, and could easily tell how pathetic the scammer was, trying to pose as a brother of this guild seller for a measly 6k. So i simply asked this genius of a person for a guest invite, so i could prove to myself that it was indeed filled with all NPCS.He then said i was a scammer, and then ignored me -.-

So having 500 or so of the useless things im obviously intrigued, unfortunately i underestimated the chat spam in LA and missed half the chat of the log but got some of it.
But it seems "apparently" a recent update allowed us to trade tournie tokens for z keys, you just have to enter a HB tournament and then the tournament guy will tell you how to trade tokens for keys.
Despite my consistent attempts for more info on how it was done I was told to 'look on guru' as there are loads of posts on it...
But strangely right after my last comment he logged off
