What is the most pathetic scamming attempt that you encountered?

These people spamming it are almost always in Kaineng Center (the section reachable only thru the Divine Path) or Lion's Arch at the Lighthouse.

I was bored one evening so I actually tracked down one of them. He was in LA spamming the message every second. I checked the Lighthouse hill. Of course that's where he was. As soon as I came within his radar he left town. At least I stopped the spam.

So has anyone ever been paid by one of these kiddies?

I remember a guy hanging out in the middle of the Glint hologram thing in Droks (was standing in it and had somebody else kneel, which activated it). It became impossible to physically "touch" him since he was in the middle of an active animation (stuck inside a rock escentially). And he was spamming that he would pay only if you touch him.
A guy ended up outsmarting him and used the female necro dance to walk through the invisible wall (since that dance moves your character sideways through all obstructions).
The guy actually payed up because he had been outsmarted.

Pathetic scamming attempt? Probably when I was in Beacon's Perch. A ranger was spamming, "Running droks 500g! 250 now, 250 at Rankor!"

Thought something was fishy but it was only 250g at the time, I didn't really give a hoot. Of course we got a party together, he enters Lornar's Pass and then quits game.

Female monk dance works too, I've been paid by people for that.

I've done that "Find me and get something" thing before except whenever I do it, I actually give something. I think a couple times I've given out 1k.

Only really seen the Gold for Plat scam and someguy that spent 15 minutes getting a FoW team together collects the 125g from all players and then leaves.

There is the one on the droks run where they collect the first payment at snakedance and leave everyone in the wilderness. That is a bit annoying.

I know I already posted the worst scams I've ever seen, but as a professional chest runner the ones that annoy me the most are "chest runners" who either take peoples' keys and disappear or return the items they got minus all the valuable stuff. I'm sure Nemo can back me up on this one.
The problem is that while most scams are based on other people being stupid/newbs/not paying attention, chest running by nature requires the clients to trust the runners. It annoys me not only because it makes my job harder trying to convince people I'm legit, but also because it gives us runners in general a bad name.
