http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Talus_Chute, Cartographer Notes?
If that's not it it could be that it's inside the cell where you find Evennia but it's been ages since I've explored there so I'm not sure if that cell is located at the right spot.

Moongel,
When you have finished Hell's mission you will end up in the old arena at Droknar's. This should add a little % to your carto title.
For inspiration I surgest you dig a little into this thread.
The first postings offer good advice on where to look and a while ago I posted the updated U-map screens for Tyria. You can compare your own U-maps to those.
And there is always this 'tool' which modifies your unexplored areas to something better visible (take the screen from N1ghtstalker for example).

I'm having some trouble.
There is this blotch located southeast of Frost Gate Outpost. I tried exploring it during the Borlis Pass mission and even while inside the outpost itself with no luck. Textmod shows it as unrevealed. Any tips here?
I don't know how to post images...I could use some help with that.
EDIT: Never mind. Used the necrotic traversal trick, got it down. Didn't know it would take me north.

One little question.
Could you please include the area name next time you ask questions?

Night, Massacre,
Would you be so kind to post an u-map without Texmod markings of the same spot in Lagoon area?
I would like to do a non-texmod compare to see how the difference looks without texmod.

I couldn't get that sliver either but I was able to get that bottom piece. Around the area I circled there is a glitch spot that will take you up into that mountain area a little ways. It's enough to get that small piece. It took me a while to get it and I had to scrape multiple times even when I got up there.

You can get there from inside the outpost if I remember it right.
There should be 3 npc's standing on an island.

Hi,
I'm having a little trouble uncovering this spot here:
Any chance someone could give me pointers on this?

Zeth006,
I would not even bother with that tiny bit unless you want a completely clean map.
It would take more time to get there and scrape then to find an easier spot.
Texmod has more than 100%, don't spend too much time on hard spots.

I have that spot and Henge of Denravi and a couple of others I'm worried about. Down to 4 more areas to vanquish and currently at 98.9% 1.1% is a LOT and I may begin pulling out my hair if I get stuck at 99.9%!
Got the title:

Can you guys please help me.

Everything under the red line is fog that I have absolutely no idea how to remove. I spent ludicrous amounts of time hugging walls in D'Alessio Seaboard mission, and then the same thing in Gates of Kryta mission, and I still have absolutely no clue how to get rid of any of that fog under the red line.
Would appreciate either extremely specific directions, or a volunteer to come get rid of it with me in-game.

Navaros,
I am not sure it is explorable at all.
When I look at this posting: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...8&postcount=54 and compare that map, I only see a few differences. The huge spot in Kryta and some small spots under your Texmod parts.
However, I've never used Texmod so I have no idea how the map would like.
I can tell you one thing. The huge area with the boat is not explorable.
If the texmod is based on an actual map, the only option is that it was a map with the LA glitch, which I doubt was used as base for the texmod.
So that's just Texmod showing something you can't explore.
Maybe you could compare your non-texmod U-map to the map in posting 54 (the link I posted)? It's about as clear as you can get it with only a few (documented) missing spots.

Navaros, that shot if from an outdated version of the mod. A couple months ago, Anet did a minor map update, which screwed up that section of map. A new mod has already been made and the link can be found here and on the wiki.

How do you get to that place in the Frost Gate mission where the Prince is?
Thanks.
Thanks.
MrGuildBoi
Hope for a wolf spawn down there or try to pull a frost golem to one of the ascalonian soldiers and use necrotic traversal or consume corpse. Shadow steps will not work. More information on the wiki page
the_jos
Think it's also on the wiki: Sac a MM with fiends on the bridge and have the minions kill Rurik and his companions. When that's done NC down and follow the path.

The last 9% for this title is driving me nuts. I've been perusing the maps, comparing them with maps on Guild Wiki, trying to figure out places that I've missed especially mission area where you're more involved with the mission than mapping. I've gone back and mapped the Charr area for the Northern Wall mish and so on. I went back and mapped all of the Ring of Fire islands, ummm... double checked Crystal Desert but I'm going to double check again.
I KNOW there are places I've missed and maybe there are some hard to see areas that others know about? Some tips would be handy about now.

are you doing this without texmod? if so, you're nuts with noble intentions which is admirable...if not, you should be
google texmod to get the freeware, download the .tpf file for eotn/proph, and map your little heart out!

Ugh... I googled texmod and while it sounds like a good tool I'm not touching it. I'll probably have to be happy with 95% at the most. This computer I use to play GW on is also the computer that holds all my work (I'm a writer) and although I backup my data, there is no way I'm going to potentially screw up my computer for a title. Even if the potential for a problem is small, I'm not going to risk it.

Texmod is 100% safe, so I don't know why you're worried
jimmyboveto
Texmod is safe, and even A-net doesn't mind its use. I can't think of one single story or account of it messing up someones comp. I've used it myself and it makes things much easier.

Same as above. And make sure to get all of the maguuma.
There are lots of missions that are hard to map, those were the hardest for me in proph.

I did the Cartography title WITHOUT Texmod, I had never heard of it at the time. I got the Legendary title by scrapping very very carefully each area as I VQ'd them, Scrapping EVERY TOWN and outpost, And following the Legendary Cartography guild on wiki.
The tips and glitch section of the guide was very helpfull in achiving 100% on all the campaings.
It can be done without Texmod, but I will use it if I do this title again......

9% and your're having troubles? It's usually only trouble with the last 3%.
Also, Texmod is safe, get it from the wiki though. Google might take you to a fake texmod.

9%?
I got to 90%+ on all 3 continents by vanquishing WITHOUT grinding ANY edges.
So if you've got 9% left, that means that you basically have to go and grind the edges of every single explorable area.
Or just use texmod, it's completely safe and really easy to use.

Falynn,
Check the sticky in this forum, it has most of the non-texmod information you would need.
I have posted up-to-date U-map screens there, so you can compare your U-map to those.
Furtermore it has a general exploration guide and a guide of frequently missed spots (those start to count at 98/99%).
Good luck with non-texmod exploration! (I'm happy to see some people are still willingly exploring without it)

Hug walls of outposts and maps. Oh and, check whether you missed an explorable of two.

I found a area in the Tanglewood that I didn't map so I went and did that. There was a huge area of the Falls that I missed entirely.
I'll continue to map without texmod and if I get frustrated enough, then I'll download texmod. I'm not frustrated enough and although the title would be nice, Im not going to kill myself over it. In the meantime, I'm going to check out Jos' U-maps and go from there.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Can anyone please look here: http://www.theyadas.com/images/area1.jpg
and tell me if this can be mapped? I know it is not an explorable, but I think there may be a glitch where you can get up there. In fact, I was trying to get that piece when I noticed theres a nice little trail on a ridge you can't access that leads to that little strip. If someone could please take a look and see if they got it on texmod I'd be very grateful!

You've got everything in that corner that can be mapped. The open area is a design glitch I never got around to fixing. It's added to the insanely long list of modifications that I need to make to complete the map, but can't seem to find the time for.

Im stuck on 94.6% and i cant seem to find anywhere else to explore. Posting a zoomed-out picture of my map, and hope that someone awesome have a couple of minutes to have a look at it and tell me where i can find the rest of the map.

Are you using a texmod program? If not then you may have a very difficult time finding your last percentage. The texmod makes mapping super easy. I posted the info in this thread about where and what to download...
