Ursan....Thoughts?
viper11025
I was wondering if I can get an idea of what you do with ursan everyday, and how. Vanquishing, DoA, Uw, FoW, Etc.
I am Currently Thinking about making a Bear guide soon.
Suggestions for the guide are welcome.
So answer this:
How do you use Ursan Blessing?
Personally, I did Uw,Fow,DoA, And ALOT of title grinding.

I find it dull, and thus never use it.
Saraphim
Don't use it, never have.
I do use Pain Inverter when Vanquishing though, nothing makes me smile more than watching AOE enemies blow themselves to bits.

Yes, its a pain to use sometimes. And the title farming is boring, playing with with a slow team its boring also.
I dont see anything good coming from this so far, lol. Since i'm a casual gamer, it makes PuGing easier for me.

As lame as the Junundu, if you ask me.
And yeah, that's pretty lame.

I still don't' have that skill.
I prefer to make new builds anytime I play. I bore very easily.
I really only log in to make and play new builds.

I use it on my Dervish and we did Sorrows Furnace. I use it as a secondary together with my Winds enchantment build. Not overly dependent on it. Celerity is a very good party speed up charm.

It's less boring than farming the same area over and over with a 55 and makes more gold.
EDIT: I don't use it in my normal gameplay because I don't like how mindless it is, hitting 1-4 on recharge is just too boring for me. That, and it feels like taking the cheap way out. I prefer using a real build that might require some brain usage from the user.
Saraphim
I should've expanded on that I guess. One of the main reasons I don't use it is because I generally H/H or go with hubby + heroes, all of my title grinding is done solo so I'm not sure UB would really be that much of an advantage with just one person using it.
I find Pain Inverter much more useful, as I can target the high damage caster first, let them get one shot in and commit suicide - then clean up the rest.
I did try UB once or twice in the Norn tourney, but found that my ele could get foes down just as easily with her bog standard air build. Except Magni, and UB didn't work too well on him either. I have noticed when I've poked my head into ToA that people have been LF UrsanWay, but I only go there rarely so have no idea how prevalent that is.

I use it for Vanquishing pretty much. Because I really don't want to have to think when I vanquish so I just use Ursan. Thinking is not fun. I play other games for that, Guild Wars is past it's prime for thinking.
viper11025
Thats fine. >>
Guide or not. (Thnx for the link btw)
I wanted some idea on who uses it everyday, or atleast alot, and why.
What the mess.
>>, wow I guess I do need to add something to that.
Wheres the deep/urgoz part of it??

Guess Ill make something for Elite area's of the game. In detail.Ty all, gn for now.

I don't use Ursan except for the quest where you have to use it to get Jora's land back.
I think Ursan has one great advantage though. It's a great thing to use for people who don't seem to be able to make decent builds themselves. So it may make it a little easier on PuGs :P

I don't use it.

I made my guildies run it when we were doing Rotsy in HM.
Even if I had GWEN - I play mostly Paragons in PvE these days - so Ursan isn't even needed.

Ursan Blessing is good, but there are better builds
Not for me.
I rather trade in Kamadan than use Ursan to farm.

I primarily use Ursan on my monk. Up until recently, I only used my Monk for 55 farming, because it's boring to heal heros & henches through the game.
Ursan gives me a way to easily switch between offense and defense. In hard mode, my monk build consists of prot spirit, pain inverter, and ursan. Prot spirit is used primarily as self-protection when Ursan is recharging. The remaining 5 spells will be another pve spell suitable for the area (sometimes I use finish him!, sometimes I use an asura summon, if going against destroyers, I use Alkar's Acid spell, etc.) plus normal Monk defense spells. I like to go Mo/W, throw some points in tactics and use a long-lasting stance like Balanced Stance since UB doesn't cancel stances like it does enchants.
I've also been working on the exploration titles in Normal mode for my Monk using Ursan. In that case, I drop pain inverter and throw in a cap sig. PI doesn't do much in normal mode, and exploring often reveals bosses I've never seen before. UB has made playing my Monk a lot more fun, although I don't typically use it for the other character classes.

I don't need to use it. My own builds work far better. I mean, I can defeat Magni with Searing Flames...

It helps me find all the people wanting to play charging Wammos without actually playing a charging Wammo.
Zhack
The part i like the most in GW is the planning of builds, trying to make them synergize etc.
So i never use things like ursan, except when it is absolutely necessary for the mission.

Don't use it. Rather play my profession properly.

I used it once or twice. Overall I thought it sucks. It still does, IMO. I prefer using normal and other PvE skills.
Besides, for some reason I prefered the wolf blessing.

It's mindless button mashing but effective for those of us who dislike using brain power. All you need is 3 Monks, 4 Ursan followers and an Ursan caller and it steamrolls anything.
I use it occasionally if I want something done without having to use effort.
Exploiting the overpowered aspects is the key to winning anything in GW.

I don't.

Used it in UW 1/2 times, and that's about it.
Don't really like using it that much, but don't have a problem with people that like to use it.

I used fairly often these days, UB does have a number of uses:
- Makes Elite areas easier and faster - Time is not something I have a lot of so its great.
- Provides an additional extra amount of damage and tanking to a group - sometimes if we don't have a warrior available or lacking damage going UB can make up for it.
- VQing H+H - I always use UB if I'm VQing with just hero and hench, since it makes things go a lot quicker.
I diagree, you can use it if you don't want to. Which makes it fine.
UB is not godmode, you can still get smacked down while using it. Also if you team needs 3 MONKS, then you must all suck at PvE
But it is a boring button bashing build, but hey it does the trick.

Used it in DoA clears and just on my Monk when questing with h/h since I don't like to heal/prot all the much with a h/h team.

I used it to clear UW, and FoW to get my bloody statues. Although, been thinking to use it, now, to get my statue for DoA. But besides that, I hate the bloody spell; it's boring. Just another fad build/skill, that will fade out when a better one surfaces. Or when Anet nerfs it into the dirt.
I perfer my usual nuking, and damage dealing builds which tend to have higher DPS. Especially Pain Inverter.

there you go, Ursan Guide in detail.
I would like to talk to a person that designed this "skill" and ask him/her how does it feel to turn this wonderful and complicated game into a c-space fest. I obviously don't use it and you could say that I shouldn't care what other people do. But I do care. Why? cause it makes me sad how many people will never see how deep could this game be cause they will never ever need to think about their builds, about the synergy with heroes or other players, about countering specific monsters... no they only need this one skill nothing more. It's just sad.
