I think I'll take a nice long break from GW.

yeah I only updated because it seemed that only hats thing change and I was hoping on a fixed drop rate of mini polar bear :/

Yeah, and now we're stuck with shards, i've got like 500+.

It wasn't the new build that got rid of the collector and other npcs....they just kinda...disappeared. 400+ shards in storage for another year I suppose. I started out really enjoying this event, but what a terrible end to it.

Maybe, but i farmed the quest a few times after the build was released. Had to meet a friend in Kodash. They told me there was still snow, so i thought nothing's changed, came back to LA, and wo0t.

Ok, now i'm starting to get bored.... What am I supposed to do with my 3 stacks of candy cane shards, eat them?! Really, you cannot do worse Anet, can you?

What a total failure.... First we get: there is no bear!!!111
Then: yes, there is bear, go get. And we forgot to mention its as rare as snow on halloween...
Now: woot, there go the trader, quest and your change for a mini bear!!!111

Can you people not read? The update did not make the NPC's disappear. They left at noon PST, regardless of whether you updated or not.

Where was it stated when the event would end? I had a look around and couldn't find any information.
If i had know they would go at 'noon PST', i would have cashed in my cc shards.

That is not my point, my point is I did not find out about that mini until yesterday.... Like most people did.
We should have known from day 1 of the event so we could have farmed it properly and have a greater chance to get it.
Now there is like 2 people with one, while 99.8 percent of the GW population got shafted.
If they were going to make it this rare, at least have the common decency to tell us early.

They're angry because they didn't see a warning to when the NPCs would disappear, so people are stuck with stacks of CC Shards that are useless until next year.

Let's just give people the poorly-done hats and say we care than actually running this failure of an event the way it was supposed to be run.

Barrage now correctly states that it shoots arrows at target foe and 6 foes adjacent to the target foe.

I found out about the polar bear minipet literally 15 minutes before they took the rift dudes away, due to hearing 'WTB POLAR BEAR MINI!!!11!!111' repeatedly in district 3.

Checking wiki confirmed to me I had to get my hands on this because it was simply adorable. The fact it is seemingly incredibly rare means nothing to me, the pig is still one of my favourites cos its cute even though most people have about ten per account.

So Alas, disconnecting in the middle of my first 'Straight to the heart' quest and upon eagerly reloading, the rift person has ever so courteously buggered off.

Snow on Halloween isn't rare, at least not in Canada. Look on the bright side, it's better than not having it in the game at all and there's probably another chance at it next year and possibly other means of acquiring it implemented in the months in between.

Haha, i think this whole mini polar bear thing is just to get players to do winters day again after GW2 comes out. I have a hunch that the polar bear will drop from the chest of wintersday past, since it is all after all part of the wintersday past.
