In one of the files I found among the most recent ones I found this:

A team of 8 "I Hate Izzy" characters in gw.dat = wtf?
The file itself must be very old, those are found right after the descriptions of the old PvP Premade Characters, like the old favorites the Abominable Snowman or Ivex Trapper

Those look like dye colors, I remember 'Identity' word used to describe the Dye Remover, but what is 'Turquoise' doing here?
The only ingame reference to Turquoise I remember was a Turquoise Team, 4th team in multiple team maps in the old Tombs (like Burial Grounds or HoH itself)

And those are all weapon mods, the list doesn't cover all possibilities present ingame but has 3 which cannot be found ingame:
Snakeslaying - I've never seen this one, even th emighty Google gives zero finds on this.
Quick and Rage - "I'm weilding a Quick Fellblade of Rage" sounds cool, but I can't imagine what those mods did. Maybe any alpha testers out there remember those?

Also: Confirmed for existence of a string "Zaishen Title" in the dat file. No idea /speculation what it'll be for, though.

Zaishen title will most likely be for using keys to open the chest.

imo its unlikely that they will require keys to be used i think it will just be based on total amount of faction gained

            Master Knightfall
imo it will be most likely that you will have to use zashien keys to open the chest to get zashien faction for the title. That's the way it works for treasure hunter I don't see why it would be different for zashien title. It also will increase the value of zashien keys to sell to other players and bring an influx of more pve players to pvp who want those stupid titles. Can't wait for this one <grin>

Also, the string is "Zaishen Title" which is not "Zaishen Title Track." So it's rather extreme speculation that there is even going to be a new title.

"Rage" is probably the "+1 weapon attribute (10~20% chance)" suffix mod we have now.

I was looking in the wikies and it seems that there is no 'rage' upgrade.
Maybe is an upgrade that appears only as inherent modifier in Prophecies and Factions items?

I did a quick browse after the last update, couldn't find anything new, those new weapon skins didn't appear as the last # files so they must be somewhere deeper inside.
But I found ome thing I've never seen in gw.dat, this:
a small GW2 logo inside gw.dat, what is it doing there?

	| Yay! The end run is out now, which has been my little side project for a while now. Other than a couple bumps here and there (which are generally to be expected) it seems to be going over pretty well which makes me happy. John Hargrove and I have been talking about doing an end run for over a year now so seeing it finally out is exciting. We had the weapons made last year in preparation so it was just up to when I would have time to do the design and writing. |

For Collect Krait Swords you actually are giving Shifty Williams swords.
For Stop the Weapons Shipment you have to kill Shifty Williams from giving weapons to the Centaurs.
You put two and two together and one player starts an event for another player by turning in a quest. In other words,
Player A collects Krait swords and goes and gives them to Shifty for the reward. Shifty says "thankee" and then a few minutes later runs off towards the Centaur camp. Players closer to the Centaur camp get a message from Captain Harkness that there is word of an illegal weapons shipment to stop.
Wow, if that is anything close... I must say I am looking forward to such interconnectedness. More and more it seems that WAR's public quests are a way of hiding the grind instead of feeling like being in an organic world.* I am in awe of A.Net's vision.
*I am not just pulling this out thin air, there is a site that leaks WAR information, and there is heavy discussion about how a WAR public quest is basically: Step 1 - Kill 50-100 mobs, Step 2 - Kill 10-20 elite mobs, Step 3 - Kill boss plus adds.

Wow, that would be so incredibly awesome! If this is what they meant when they said that GW2 will have a dinamic quest system, I'm gonna be one happy camper :P
I hope these sorts of quests will be going on very frequently, because I'd feel bad if I kept on missing them.

Loamhurst is that place in Divinity Coast.
Could it be that they are planning to make new explorables using already existing mission areas in Prophecies?

Please don't turn this into a debate over the new title or anything, there's plenty of threads for that. What I'm asking is, there was much debate over some sort of zaishen title starting a while ago, based on what was in the gw.dat file. Now it turns out that the zaishen title is true, as were the list of 3rd year minipets being discovered before they were released.
So what about the other things people found in the dat file? Double booze/sweets weekend? Anything else? Anet seems to play everything close to the vest but there are obviously some people who can figure out what's coming. I'm sure there's tons of other players who would like some hint of which way the wind is blowing.

It's a really big file that contains all the data Guild Wars needs to in order to run.
Some people use software to look into this .dat file and can see stuff that Arena Net puts in there during an update.
Note: .dat is a data archive.

So everlasting tonics/tonics were found in the dat file before.
So anyone think Anet would put the years entire lineup in??
or has anyone found anything regarding the new tonics?
