All I see in this thread is a bunch of people who can't afford Chaos Gloves. Someone suggested a list of armor/titles/skins that are "acceptable" to the obvious 1337 community that Guru as become.
I'm guessing there is none. The true test of any leet player it to register here, and make a post about how all the elite things in the game are silly.

To the sexual orientation: I'm pretty sure people don't choose to be gay just to show off how rich they are. People making fun of people wearing expensive stuff that looks like trash are doing it because it's incredibly pretentious, and those people are choosing to look horrible because they think it makes them look "1337".

People have many reasons for choosing the armor they wear. What looks dumb to you, may not be dumb to them (or anyone else). Maybe they just don't care if it looks "dumb". Maybe they want to look "dumb" (just to piss you off.)
Many people (such as myself) are not too interested in what title they are showing, so many times, the title they are showing is simply the last one they were working on or the last one they were using.
As with the armor, people have many reasons to carry whatever weapon they happen to like/want. What looks hideous to you......
Some of you kiddies need to remember that this is not high school (or at least - not your high school). GW players don't need to be concerned about what some group of doofuses think is dumb/hideous/kewl - or maybe they are concerned with what their buddies think is dumb/hideous/kewl.

Not sure about overrated, but I hate most of the assassin armors, and since my main pve toon is a sin...CAN I PLEASE GET A SET OF ARMOR THAT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE I WON'T STAB MYSELF JUST FROM WALKING?

And I want to file a complaint on the ranger armor evolution. Why would a ranger (bow user, underbrush, sneaking up on foes, etc) wear armor with things sticking out all over so that you sound louder than a herd of Ntouka when moving around.
So when I see someone in those armors, I wish they would buy FoW. At least it looks like something a ranger would wear.

I spent hundreds of hours standing in HA ID1, in AB outpost and less, but still a substantial amount in Temple and I can't believe someone "shouted" at you as soon as you entered, let alone six people. Yes, there are idiots that flame you for no reason, but they'll do it only when you're talking/doing something already and I've yet to see six of them.

To be fair, it does work on some eles. The glowing hand effect is very...elemental. But on pretty much everyone else, it just looks anywhere from weird to out of place to outright horrible.

What a dumb topic. Stop complaining about titles that you cant get. Half of the titles that have been complained about are titles that require time, patience, and skill. Which probably means you're jealous that you'll never get the title.
And titles are meant to consume time, it adds to the replayability. This topic cracks me up. Someone please tell me a title that is NOT a waste of time, overrated, or cost a lot of money.

Titles take skill? No.
This is coming from someone who is getting close to completing 75% of all vanquishes and shit, by the way. A good thing to look at is W/Mo's who using Mending / HH and think they're good 'cause they have prestige armour and GWAMM.

In case you haven't noticed, the only titles that people are saying are "overrated" are stuff like the zaishen title, kurz/lux, and wisdom (and GWAMM, which can only be attained through those other titles). These only take time, and some take money, which is just more time. No one, to my knowledge, has ever said, "Legendary Vanquisher/Guardian/Master of the North is overrated," because those are the titles that actually require you to play the game, to one degree or another.

I mean, I'm not a title grinder. I have (I think) 7 maxed titles on one char, four of which I didn't even intend to have (capped all elites before that title got broken into four and made maxable), so getting pretty much every non-pvp title in the game seems like it would involve at least SOME difficulty.
For example, how does a mending wammo (= can't make a good build to save his life) vanquish Ice Floe? That area was a huge bitch. I tried like 4 different setups with H/H and failed 4 times, finally having to do it with a friend and 6 heroes. A mending wammo with equally "skilled" heroes wouldn't get past that clump of ice imps outside grotto...

see i laugh at most people in fow because generally that means they have only one character that they play, usually they dont even play them well. people with 10 characters all in fow, thats saying something, or they just farm ridiculous amounts. plus all those people with their stupid shiny gloves, they just stand in town, rarely if ever do you find a player actually doing something that has them.

I don't really think anything is overrated. I don't care what others have, because their items won't make me go "ooh!". I play the game so when I look at my own chars, I have that reaction.

THE Most overrate thing is monks in obsidian all dyed black, chaos gloves dyed white. Probably the one armor combo thats over used. For the matter all armor thats dyed black is overrated.
