I had 4 character names banned. I think if one of the names was reported as inappropriate, then the whole account gets reviewed for other inappropriate names.

I was called Geile Beerbeer, which is translated to Horny Bearbear. Anet didnt liekz it. They mailed me saying i wud be banned for 72h, and after that i wud have to change my name when i logged in.

ANet doesn't do that, and for that players should be grateful and at least use a Google search to get a half-decent name.

lol this is a great thread, ive been banned on my female warrior 2 times due to unacceptable name they where [1st - scoobys hoar, had here with that name for 11months] then [ 2nd scoobys rent girl, had her for around about the same duration]. i can understand hoar beeing offensive but rent girl idk why i got banned for that, hopefully mini scooby isnt bad unless disney find it offensive to use there name.

Well in fact, French is my primary language and when I originally created my character, I didn't really know the meaning of the word "Horny". I thought it a synonym of "Sexy" or "Hot".

. It's the foundation of our entire society: Here are the laws based on ten commandments, don't get caught. If you do get caught, scream and yell and holler loud about how unfair it is - too bad...but throw a little money at it and everything is fine: from the Church to O.J..As for the whole name thing...there it a grey area as to what constitutes "inappropriate". Many of us feel the names should be allowed under the T rating, others feel that "sole discretion" of ANet means they can do what they like regarding the bans...and they can. The problem lies with the whiny snots that are offended by things that are within the rating and report it. To keep them happy ANet uses their "sole discretion" unilaterally to wipe any name some bitchy puritanical zealot deems a little too naughty...My opinion: just another way for someone to grief other players because someone pissed in their oatmeal.
