Are you going to move on to GW2?
hallomik
I will buy GW2 (and Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2) assuming they get decent reviews. Give me a solid pay-once, play-forever game and I'm all over it.
Shayne Hawke
I'll probably make my decision of whether I want to buy it or not off the beta. In fact, if I don't plan on buying GW2, I'll stop playing GW, since there won't be a point to it if I'm not going to do GW2. If I do want it, I'll probably pre-order Collector's or something, and become a fan of the game again.
Introverted Dimensions
I honestly haven't had a problem with ANY of the changes that A-Net has made. I've been playing for nearly three years now and playing on and off due to real life. I've bought ALL expansions and I know damn well I'll be picking up GW2, assuming my pc can even handle it as the grass in EoTN is always red for me.
Revolution1292
i will def. be picking up GW2.
Dryndalyn
I have faith that GWs2 will be good so I will buy it. However, I will still play GWs1 as I have friends who have just begun in GWs1. Also, I have lots of characters who have not finished it, nor have I done everything there is to do in GWs1. Far from it! So I guess I will be playing both games at the same time for quite a while after GWs2 comes out.
As for doing the same things over and over again as the OP inquired...I think it is fun and enjoyable to just to be in a nice atmosphere and take on the personas of the lovely characters that I have. I don’t mind doing the same thing more than once at all. The world is so vast, it is sometimes months before I return to the same area again and by then they are seen from the perspective of a different character.

Too early to say? I'll wait until after or during the beta before I can make the call. I'm not going to play a game just because I liked its predecessor. On the same token I'm not going to not play a game just because I didnt like where some parts of its predecessor went.
I will play it if it appeals to me, although at this point too it also depends if I ever get a gaming PC again. I've ditched my old PC and am now only on Macs - they were always my primary, but I had an old testing PC to run games on. So who knows. I just think my platform issues aside, its folly to decide one way or the other on this issue until we know more. Much more.

I plan to do what I have already told myself I will complete and/or beat. Until then, it could be five months after GW2's release and I wont make the transition over until I've done everything I set myself to do.
Yes, I have goals in Guild Wars...

Nope, my PC has a hard enough time with GW, and I don't want to play a traditional MMO.
Monkey Slayer
No clue. GW is getting pretty boring, so something better come along in GW2 to make me wanna play it.
draxynnic
I'll see how it looks when it comes out. Most likely I'll buy it at least to try it out, but if it looks like Ursan-style degenerate gameplay will be the rule again I might give it a miss.
Rexion
I'm debating.
If it comes out around my college years (class of 2010. junior this upcoming year), then I will be either not playing MMOs in general or I'll be playing the biggest thing out there (possibly WoW). We'll have to see.
Ursan has killed my outlook on GW. One of my guild officers is trying to force the usage of the classic Team Builds for some elite areas instead of just mindlessly using Ursan. I'm worried to see PvE fall like it did.
I might take a leave from Guild Wars right now to start my career on YouTube and such. Laugh all you want at that - it's my life. Then I will come back around beta time and such. I'm bored as it is trying to get to where I can have fun, but it isn't worth it to put so much work into a game. I'd rather just not play than work on a game that really doesn't mean much to real-life.
I guess I'll just see in time.
I just wish that GW was like it was 2 years ago... but you can't bring back the past.

i have 4 GW account and yes I'm moving on coz after i have so much money dont even pve anymore and their is no point farming for a crappy 50k or less item or 100k but omg freaking hard to sell.
SO yes I'm moving on in 23th Sept. for Warhammer.
I will play GW though coz its free and will move to GW2 when it come out coz my HoM have a lot of goody in it and i want to know what i earn in GW2. If all my effort go to waste coz of crappy reward then i wont play it and i will move on to Warhammer40k online that will be out around 2011.

Depends on how things go in a 2 years, and depends on the beta.
Shadowspawn X
I plan on buying GW2 regardless, however if it doesn't come out in a timely manner I won't bother.

enlightened me, why do you do FFF when you are suppose to be doing ab to get those faction? same thing i would guess as what you ask.

Since Guild Wars has nothing but Grind to offer players until release of Guild Wars 2 I've been playing World of Warcraft. Now that I'm hooked on World of Warcraft unless Guild Wars can offer something that would bring down the Giant I see no reason to leave World of Warcraft. Yeah, it's $15 a month but so far it seems worth every penny paid.
No subscription fee, is not worth a sub par game. World of Warcraft sets the par IMO.

Leaning towards no.
I didn't bother with EoTN, either.
I loved the original game, but it's really lost its luster along the way. I've been less than impressed with ANet's fumbling and bumbling "fixes" to various issues.
Hopefully I'll be playing Diablo3 by the time GW2 comes out, anyway.

I like Guild Wars PvP. It's the thing that has kept me playing since '05. From what I'm hearing about Guild Wars 2, it's going to be completely different from Guild Wars (1) except in spirit and setting. I'll probably play a beta or trial and then decide whether or not it'll be worth the cash.
Hyper.nl
Yes, I will surely try it, and very likely stay with it.
I'm in for a new challenge / world and still don't want to pay timely fees.

I plan on coming back to the GW universe with GW2.
Koning
No, even if it gets good reviews.
jackie
If PvP is excellent & fresh in it then yes.
inscribed
definitely moving to GW2. no question about it.
defect
Yeah I'll get GW2
And then I won't sell anything until I'm 100% sure they won't become really valuable in the future *Doh @ merching an ecto the first time I was in UW*

I'll be moving from GW1 to GW2. If GW2 turns out to be bad, i'll give up on GW entirely.
I don't see that staying with GW1 is an viable option.

I really do like GW1, so as long as GW2 is innovative without the grind, no spawn camping and the things that plague current MMOs, then for sure I will be hooked. I will get it to see for myself even though I do not like some of the ideas they have about GW2 (like swimming, wth?, endless level cap=grind, elitism).
Unfortunately the current GW1 has gone into a grind for some folks finishing titles, FFF for one to get the Luxon/Kurzick, treasure hunter, wisdom and I really respect those who have accomplished this at the expense of whatever else they could not do. Many of us still have to even though I am sure we really do not enjoy it but it does give us something to do, however I would rather be in dungeons, finishing off other characters and really enjoying the world of GW, breath taking scenes, art and areas.
Like others have said, it would be a fresh start and many of the QQers will not be going, which I believe is a really good thing, there is too much negativity, criticism and crying about Anet, PVE, Updates that it is really frustrating to see every day on Guru.
Stay for the ride I say, it should be really exciting.

Angel Killuminati
Probably not, I'll be late twenties at the time with a University degree and high end Graphics job, already working freelance now but will be in a company come GW2. Not enough time to play online games.
Earth
Maybe.
Who knows, maybe I won't like online games anymore then, or maybe it sucks, or maybe I'm dead...
Maybe.
Though, most likely yes.

1 time fee thus enable me to play whenever I can/will without pressure. Nice graphic (or so it rumored, cant stand too cartoon-y graphics) and.. Umm even with those 2 reasons I am sold.
If it's bad, I can just call it a bad buy (same like buying crappy console games). If it's good, it's gonna be the second best money-well-spent decision I made in the space of 4 years.
Cheers~

I'll be getting GW2. I couldn't care less about reviews for it come the time - regardless of what other people will say about it, I want to see it for *myself* when it's released. Pretty sure, whatever it's like, it'll last me longer than Crysis did
Patsrule711
depends if diablo III is good
Shadowhaze
I might and might not. Can't say for sure at this point. Depends on what all they do to it. Some of the things I've read don't sound all the appealing to me, but I'll wait to decide until I read/see/play something concrete.
romeus petrus
That depends on GW2:
If it has anything similar to EotN, or has any amount of lame, pointless, mindless title grinding then
HELL NO!!

I'll try it for awhile

I will be playing it, despite what GW has become, I've always been a GW fan and I still think that Anet deserves the benefit of the doubt on my behalf.
I'm still playing it only for the HoM, and I will be playing the beta when it comes out. But if I don't like it mainly because I'm afraid it may become another run of the mill MMO, I'll just put my GW games permanently on the shelf and be happy by thinking I've had my money's worth for nearly two years.
Otherwise, I'll go buy the retail hoping I'll have another 2 years of fun with it, if not more, I have some great expectations for GW2, only hope it delivers them.
