yippee I am not alone in being unlucky.

Did the entire Ring of Fire missions with the same group. Everyone got great drops of green and gold items, dyes, etc some two or three. I got a really nice blue offhand. That's it.

We then did the last four Factions missions, everyone got great drops of green and gold items, etc and I got nothing.

I have gone through UW in 8-man teams about 2 dozen times and have never received an Ecto. Conversely, I get Obsidian shards pretty often in FOW.

My biggest lolwtf moment of late was breaking 4 lockpicks on Ascalonian Chests (?!) while farming for Singed Gargoyle Skulls. And I was in Normal Mode! Apparantly, R2 lucky and R3 Treasure Hunter mean nothing in Ascalon. ^_^

I was HAing in the UW against this Hway mod. Our team was a second from losing. I was about to type /resign when EoE killed everyone but our rit and we won. After that we got a hall jump LOLWTF!

last night, had an alliance group doing and uw clear, and none of us had ever finished before. So we clear it all quests done, we get our chest, all happy. Then two people decide to run out to the ice wastes and see if the ice king and his elementals will fight the smite crawlers. And after some cleaver pulling, they did. And then the ice king died. Fail! lol

we got our chest items tho, and still got our HOM statue..good times tho..got a nice screen where it says our party was victorious AND your party has been defeated and will be return to last outpost

I finished Shards of Orr HM with a friend the other day. He got a very nice bone staff from the end chest that he was able to sell for a silly amount.

I got 2 Fendi's Focuses.

GvGing a few nights ago, end up trying to play really late, ended up against some 4k team. Our axe warrior errors out. A team that we would have rolled in 5 minutes takes 24 instead. After a well planned split, we fall back onto their damage and kill their only warrior and one ele. Damage pushes in and goes for the lord, while the backline turtles in the lord pit to survive. I'm low on energy (I'm the prot monk) so I die just before time to get my energy back, we're perma boosting so DP isn't an issue. To quickly check how soon the match will be over, I obs our only warrior while dead. At 24:00 I don't rez. Why not? Apparently, I err7'd just as the match ends. So after a full 24 minute match, I don't get my balth for winning. WTF???!?!?!LOL!?!?

Was going through some missions in Proph on my new warrior, some guy at Gates of Kryta says he's runnin the mission for free. So I join up with him.. He adds M.O.X., Dunkoro, and a level 19 Olias, so i'm kinda wary that the guy has no clue what he's doing.. boy, was I understating myself.. Not only is he not "running" the mission, just going through the mission killing stuff.. His build is possibly the worst i've ever seen, and Im pretty sure his heros were running the default builds...

He was a R/E spamming Flare, Immolate, and Fireball.

I get a gold staff, pretty crappy. A few minutes later, he tells me that he can make it worth more. So i;m all like "How? I already ID'ed it..." He's like "Oh I didnt know you knew that made it more valuable."

Im a freakin level 10 warrior in 15k armor and r2 wisdom (not that r2 is a build deal or anything, but still..) and the guy thinks I don't even know how to ID stuff.

It was a pretty LOLWTF-fest for me.

doing heart of the shiverpeaks on my 3rd monk....our pug had a level 12 warrior....after they died once or twice they bitched about where is the protection??? Isnt one of the monks a prot??? I cant tank without a prot monk! (the other monk was my hero set up as woh)...nope no prot, sorry.

Some funny stories in this thread so far

A few days ago I was standing around in TOA looking for a UWsc group. I spent 20min looking for people i knew, then I decided to give up and try something else.

I hopped on my monk who was in Doomlore Shrine and decided I would look for one of the high-end dungeon runners, pay for a run, and watch his skills/movements so that I could run something other than CoF.

Someone was advertising in local that they were running Ooze pit for free. I joined them because I figured if they were awful I could just leave, and not feel bad since its a free run.

It turns out that the monk running the dungeon was a good friend of mine from UW and we chatted the whole run (he was also a very skilled runner).

AND - I got an r10 Chrysocola staff from the end chest. This is especially funny since I had spent an hour earlier in Kamadan spamming "wtb chrysacola staff any req!!" I pretty much fell off my chair at my luck (considering ive done every dungeon on nm/hm and usually get diamonds and onyx).

Moral: follow your GW whims- they might lead you to something awesome.

Last weekend I was bored so I decided to help out newbies, lower levels and noobs with missions in Cantha. I chose Vizunah Square - Local and immediately got accepted into a group with a low level Sin, a Level 20 E, myself and a Level 20 Mo/W (I forget this lovely chap's name).

The party leader (sin) asks if we could add some heros in so the Ele, myself and Monk all drop down some heros.

I put Gwen (set as Me/E FC Searing Flames Nuke), Vekk (E/Me Searing Flames) and Ogden (typical Heal/Prot hybrid) in.

IMMEDIATELY (with absolutely no provocation whatsoever) the Monk spams in CAPS:

"NO GWEN NO GWEN NO GWEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"KCIK GWEN KICK GWEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!"
"Bye-bye NOOBS."

and leaves party.

Afterwards, leader just added a Monk Hench and we zoned into Mission, grabbing Masters in 17:33 and laughed at the fact that Monk must have been dumped by Gwen somehow.

I had quit GW for a while, and just restarted around 2 weeks ago. Guildies suggest that we should go do some Dungeons, and being my first time, they showed me what to do, etc. After 2 hours, we finally arrived at the chest, I pop it open and of course I get a Dryad Bow

As I recall there was another case like this where some dude was selling an emerald blade near the first times that the blade dropped. It was also uninscribable so its not unheard of particularly not in the emerald blades

At the AB my MM Rit was near the Ele shrine in Grenz capping the shrine when all of a sudden a necro from the opposite team teleport in front of him and then took over all of his minions. That happened so many times with him. DENIED! The team had a very good laugh at that.

Had a good one yesterday. Was vanquishing Perdition Rock with guildies. I broke 4 lockpicks on four chests, and got 4 awful purple drops. Everyone else got golds, including Elite tome after Elite tome. It was still awesome fun though :-)

One time in a classic case of "The monks make the rules" in PvE (Before I went exclusively H/H except for elite areas) I was monking to help a team over abbadon's mouth (and I rarely monk, I was get bitched alot to help him).

The other monk held a dagger at us to make us to the bonus, and I really didn't want to, because judging from the quality of the rest of the team, we were no where close to trying the bonus. We got owned fairly heavily in the bonus and the other monk rage quit. I ressed up the team and they *STILL* wanted to do the bonus, so I told them flat out they have no chance of doing the bonus and if they don't listen they will flat out fail the mission too (by this time they were 40 mins into this mission and yes by now they'd have been smarter to try and tag into a good time and get carried).

So now I start being the general and bark orders, a little arrogant but we actually managed to clear the mission with 1 monk and some speed ressing (I love Healer's Boon).

After that I vowed never to monk for people again, even friends.

This old man agrees with you there sir. I remember I was told by a noob that I was doing playing a warrior all wrong when he was dead and I was the only one alive. So to get even with him I just left the party even though I did have enough to rez the entire party.

Another funny moment I had was trying to teach a complete noob how to use the minimap and what everything is for. I even had to explain to her what profession she was.

I'm not against the EALU rules... but it's a scam. Like the "download hack" scam.

So, I took a screeny of the guy selling the invites and hope for a perma ban for the scam.

The LOLWTF is when the other guy called me a noob. Apparently, he doesn't know the game.

The other part was not "my" LOLWTF moment. It's this other persons. My monks were running rayway. A smiter monk build. We were doing Temple in factions. He said, "Those monks don't heal." To the guy that invite me. He of course didn't care and went.

I had a friend with me, assassin, he is a newb NOT a noob. Temple requires good pulling and up to this point I have been healing him well. Keeping him alive. So of course, thinking I can take care of him CHARGED at the mob.

He doesn't know how aggro works so about every time of the 8 bosses he goes leeroy. Which is fine because I kept him AND the team alive. Ele healer ftw.

At the end the guy that said "Those monks don't heal." said "wtf."

Satisfied with the Masters I kept going.

On my elementalist I NEVER ping my heroes and my build.
Every time I do, I get.
"is that a joke?"
"WTF?"
"GG"

I say, "OMG I missed the memo when my build has to be a cookie cutter."
I'm surprised how many people missed rayway's memo.

I'm not even going to post what build my ele is using. Just remember, it kept an tanking assassin alive while aggroing ~2-3 groups 8 times.

In rollerbeetle racing, I wait for the GL and HF spammer (usually some person who thinks he is LEET) I shoot the living crap out of him with everthing I get. Typical response is %$#@!& NOOB I have 30 top scores or something to that effect to which I reply: You said to Have Fun and man it sure was FUN nuking you!

Next race same guy no spam

. Always get a big laugh from that!

Another LOL moment is shooting any high score holders, 90% of the time they have a huge hissy fit. They have a tendency to forget the race is also a PVP Battle and not just about getting 1650 ectos for the mini! Always good for a laugh

My biggest LOL WTF moment:

I was on my female PvP ele, Wanda Fireball, at the Great Temple of Balth trying to sell a Z key. Suddenly, this guy starts whispering me, hitting on me! I turned him down, at which point he says "I'm not through with you yet", whereupon I immediately got the heck out of there and headed for the Guild Hall.

Creepy.

Back in the day when farming spiders in FoW, I decided to take some chest runners with me. Use to group the 18 first spiders up and triple chop, cyclone them to death, result was they all died within a minute and no more than 5 seconds from first to last.

However this one time, just as I kill them all, one chest runner was running down the river bed and came into radar range. Well of the 16 drops from the 18 spiders, all of them went to this other warrior!

WTF kinda balance drop mechanism is that!
