What's The Stupidest Thing You've Heard While Playing Guild Wars?

Depending on location and purpose i always have a pet with me ^^. Most fun to monk the starter missions from Tyria picking up 1 or 2 pug players, and then add another hero monk with a pet and smite the stuff out of the L3/4 mobs there. But any not too hard place i bring pets on me and me hero's \o/.

Yeah, farmers pinging for leechers in Rata Sum is FTW in this thread...

This was like a year ago when unidentified golds were ALWAYS at least 5k per group of 7...

ME: "WTS Unid Golds 7/5k"
HIM: "Let me see"
ME: "They are just raptor drops for wisdom title."
HIM: "I want to see" - so I show them...
HIM: "lol nub. Not one Q9 in the bunch. I'll give you 2k for all."


in a similar vein...

ME: "WTS Unid Golds 7/5k"
HIM: "Do you have any swords?"
ME: "Yeah, I have Greater Sage Blades" (figure I'll help out a fellow player by selling a single)
HIM: "Can I see?
ME: "It's a common skin dropped by raptors. Just type /wiki greater sage blade."
HIM: "I'd like to see it." - so I pick out an R9 and show it to him
HIM: "It's not identified. How do I know what mods it has?"
ME: "Listen dude, I normally see these in batches of 7, unidentified. You can have it for 700g if you want it."
HIM: "OK." - so he buys it
HIM shortly after: "UR A SCAMMER. You said the sword was perfect."

I was running a guy on my ranger to Yaks, and right when I was outside of yaks the guy asked me if he had to pay me.

That's fine as you've put it, yet this guy doesn't put tactics or situation into account. Funnily enough, he's constantly griping away in Guild Chat about how horribly difficult the Realm of Torment has been so far, and I've a funny feeling it's due to his pet dying and making his skills inactive. >_>

I was only just recently reminded of this incident...

In my newbie days of Guild wars, I was pugging an early mission of Ascalon (I believe it was Frost Gate). Anywho, we had a typical wammo and I noticed every so often he would say, "Watch Yourself!" I know that the skill actually pops up with the words above your head, but he was saying them, in chat.

I claimed not to be an expert, but I told him I didn't think that the skill worked that way. He denied this left, right, up and down, telling me that he didn't even need the skill on his bar for it to work, all he had to yell was, "Watch Yourself!"


Needless to say, everyone else in our group laughed and mocked him all the way through the mission.

Later on in my Guild Wars life, I was assisting a newbie through some quests and in Diessa Lowlands, I was inquired by my wammo (I have the best luck with wammos, it seems) companion as to "what do Ressurect gargoyles do?"

When I first started playing and got to the northern shiverpeaks I asked a guy why he kept saying watch yourself.

I was ABing last week when 2 people on one of our teams quit(we were ahead at the time). When someone asked why, one of their teammates said it was because and I quote,
"because I drew a penis on the map".

Flare Spamming has its uses, but in most of them any other spammable spell would do the trick. But that beast mastery thing... well...

stupidest thing some guys was selling whatever for x amount, OBO, so i guess someone whispered him with a lower offer (after the guy had been spamming for a little while) The seller flips out because to him OBO meant " or better offer" not "or best offer". and he didn't just say it to clear up any confusion (i mean hey i thought it meant or best offer but i could be wrong) he totally flipped out posting the would be buyers name in all chat and calling him a noob and other four letter words...he suddenly stopped after i reported him for abusive behaviour and so did several other people..lol

i was in TA with my buds we're playing a hammer magebane mb and a monk we play this crap team on kill count and rack the score up to about 13 or so. my friend then tells the other warrior to 1v1 him with about 20 seconds to go. My friend starts to qnock him and the warrior says to him.
"haha noob cmon kill me faster!"
after he dies he says
"LOLOLOLOL noob warrior can't even kill me just keeps me on the ground the whole time"

....

Just ran into a guy tonight. He's spamming continuously in Kamadan D1 local chat that he needs a gold spear.

It goes essentially like this:

ME: What are you looking for?
HIM: Show me all you have.
ME: I have lots of spears. What kind of mods, skin, etc.. What is your budget?
HIM: I need to see.
ME: OK. Let me get them.

I switch characters and proceed to show him about 20 different spears. He then just closes trade and runs off.

ME: ??
HIM: No voltaic spear. That's what I need.
ME: ?? I asked you what skin you want. I have a R12 Voltaic Spear I could sell you.
HIM: Let me see
ME: Before I waste time switching characters again, what kind of budget are you looking to spend.
HIM: No more than 5k

That guy is still spamming for a gold spear as I type this... I'm sick of these kids hoping to scam someone out of a valuable item...
