Oh wait, they can't, because people aren't interested in buying a game whose own developers pretty much abandoned it, as did the majority of the community. Whose fault is that? Yes, it's ArenaNet's fault, their decision to work on GW2 instead of releasing GW: Utopia and doing regular skill balances. A game like GW relies on sales, which relies on keeping it appealing to the average gamer, and one of the requirements for that in a multiplayer game is that there is an active community and the gamer can easily see that. Since ArenaNet lacks the competence to maintain a community and keep their game selling, they've decided to imitate korean "game" developers and go with microtransactions. |
