Does anyone have an opinion or on whether UW/4h completion possible in HM anymore without perma?
Please confirm this is no longer possible.
(Have done UW full-clear with 7-player team including duo Rt, but this was in NM, with consets, and prior to SoS nerf, and probably with some luck.)

You could just not give your Discord heroes anything, since they don't really need powerful weapons to make the build strong.

Go kill the damn Woe Spreader boss until he drops the friggin staff. Not that hard, there's hardly anything on the way. It's not like you need 200 of those staves am I right? Can you drop that stupid Woe Spreader argument already?

This, for starters. You could also farm for another green, buy another green, buy a random death magic weapon for like 2k, or get a collector weapon. Farming isn't the only way to acquire weapons in this game.

Yeah, pretty much any x/rit can farm anything in normal mode using an SoS build. My monk farms Nick items all the time as she has access to pretty much every part of the game, whereas my Rit mostly carries heavy stuff that my other characters don't have room for. A x/rit will take at least a minute longer to farm the items than a rit primary btw. Gasp.

What would you like, a Youtube clip of someone's party wiping? It's insane to ask for proof that something cannot be done, especially immediately after a skill update. Go try it your damn self and then share the results.

Speaking of Ritualists, I've got a feeling 600 rt/smite is going to more the build of choice now, what with Holy Wrath gone and the 600 needing more damage.

I have no idea why everyone thinks permaforming is dead o_o. It's now a 5e solo maintainable skill (without deadly paradox or GoS) with an essence, and it doesn't even reduce your health upon ending. You can most likely do 4h the exact same way, except with stoneflesh instead of BUH. In fact, you could probably do most of UW exactly the same way, except a bit slower because of the 26 damage limit. I won't leak any details yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to do the same run, with some modifications on chambers and wastes for UW, and on the terras for FoW. DoA will same as usual as well <_<, maybe a bit slower.

It'll certainly be a bit harder than before, but seeing how pugs were doing dayway again only a couple months post Dhuum, with a reasonable success chance, I highly doubt anything really killed SCs.

Oh and obby flesh is still quite usable.

FoW 600/smite won't be possible anymore, reversal of fortune activated on life steal.

For farming ectos you can use w/d or w/me, which one is faster?

Gasp.... people will have to learn how to play the game now! Anet should be ashamed of themselves. For not doing it sooner. Shadow Form actually looks like a nice skill to use with a team. Before, the use was limited to pretty much perma unless you wanted to die at the end, or make sure you were well clear. Now, it allows you to not tax your team, and stay safe while still doing some damage. Haven't tested it out, but it looks like a skill that will function well for people working with a balanced team.

Will have to break my Warrior out now too. Haven't used it in a long time, and that hammer is sounding nice.

I really hope an SC will come back to the forefront and get posted. This way, we will FINALLY either see this house of cards fall, or someone will realize Elite areas are tedious to the point where only exploitation is recommended. 4 hours trips or an ecto and junk rares is not worth fighting for.

Okay, all I want was a good farming build that can protect me from interrupts and spells and the ruined it.

Now then, sins are now just 100% useless in PvE now. I mean, NOTHING can farm raptors AND get good loot at the same time (and no, W/N 100 blades doesn't count due to the fact that you get crappy drops when compared to permasin build).

What. I'm talking about using 600/smite for Vanquishing. Y'know, that really boring activity that 600/smite made fun, particularly for monks, whose normal role in a party interacts badly with hero/hench AI?

My Warrior farming a stack of event drops in about 80mins begs to differ.

  • Raptors
  • Scar Eater
  • Jayne Forestlight
  • Tomton Spiriteater
  • Shreader Sharptongue
  • Korshek the Immolated
  • Eshim Mindclouder
  • Birneh Skybringer
  • Chor the Bladed
  • ecto farming (although that was nerfed earlier with the Skeletons of Dhumm)
  • Shakor Firespear
  • Jishol Darksong
  • (rare) material farming (particularly feathers)
  • elite tomes
  • any items for Nicholas the Traveler

Good luck trying to find good weapons for your heroes or trying new builds.

Oh yeah, and since Sins are useless outside of perma SF (that prevents both spells and attacks prior to the nerf) and PvP, I'm officially "retiring" my sin.

lawl..Farmageddon!

OT:
Skill changes are a fact of gaming life guys, roll with the punches...we ALL have a favorite skill that was 'nerfed' at one point or another.
It isn't the end of the game.
There are some amazing young people out there now in GW-land, theory- crafting new, and more powerful builds to mess with.
Admit it...Permas (godmode) was wrong to be in the game as long as it was.
Remember the Ursan fail....and be happy.

RIP Elite Areas.

Speedclears were not only about records, they were also about fun.
The other important factors were time and outcome.
In pre-perma days uw clears used to take 3h+ (that was without druum and skeles).
Using two overpowered SF sins, the avegare DoA completion time with a good team was 50 min - 1:20h.
Due to personal life I doubt many people will be able to spend non-stop 5 or 6 hours in front of a computer.
Oh and who will bother to waste 2-3h to get 2 ectos ?

Anyway the "speedclear" term can't be used anymore.

For some people the only fun left in this game was completing end-game areas.
why? Finishing all PvE storyline takes a month, PvP is no longer what it used to be.
gg anet, day by day gw will become more extinct.

Additonaly the diffecence between the rich and the poor will become bigger since most farming builds are gone.

people keep saying that, but i really hope that will not happen an Elite area should be an Elite area where it should not be cleared in under 1hr with a average joe team people should just learn to play properly.
