What Kind of Builds Will you create with 7 Heroes?

I am adapting my 6-heroes build into 7 heroes but I having difficulty deciding on the 7th hero.

I am thinking of a N/Mo for a second MM or another RoJ/Curse or maybe even a Mo/N for a stronger smite or possibily a N/Rt with restoration and Splinter.

By the way, this is for my ele.

Of course with 7 heroes it wouldn't be as bad, but I still think I could do better. The bar push is unspectacular at best. The choice of elites is pathetic and there's no possibility for hex removal or any real prot. Sure a healer monk hero would be pushed on getting prot and good healing at the same time, but their healing power is just better.

I'm working on a team build for my Ranger. I want to put as many Pets, Minions, and Spirits onto a team without getting carried away. This is what I have so far..



I started out using a Barrage/Pet build for my Ranger Heros. But, I think heros use Punishing Shot more effectively(heros dont prioritize grouped foes well) and I like interupts. I also beefed up the pets for energy and survivablity. And, I'm considered ER Orders or SS Physical Support instead of the Paragon. Im open to helpful advice, if anyone has any suggestions in mind.

Question -- is there any legal macro option that would let me bind Skill 1 on all 7 heroes to a single key or mouse button? Because if that's possible, expect to see me running A/E earth tank with Grasping Earth and 7 hero spikers. RoJ, FoC, heck Dragon's Stomp for all I care. I could call it the Power of Earth build.

Are R/P pet Spearchuckers worthwhile in PvE? If buffed by a Commandagon and Splinter Rit for example? If so...

If you can't tell, I'm really anxious to try out more heavily buffed physical teams.
I took your advice and added Keen Arrow and Read the Wind. Your right about Hunters shot, the para easily covers conditions for scavenger strike. Not to mention jagged minons that will cause bleeding.

I think the R/P beast masters that use spears are pretty good. The only reason its /P is for barbed spear spamming to trigger anthems. The one I have in my build can do up to 70-90 DPS by itself(which is pretty good for a hero). That and adds bleeding and poison = 7 degen consistantly. I would use an actual Paragon for the command stuff though. I mainly use the Paragon for conditions and criticals.

So I experimented a little bit, and it turns out I can pretty easily assign 8 keys (in-game) to "Hero X Use Skill 1", then a simple macro on my mouse to push all 8 at once. Is this legal? It's still keyboard interaction more or less, I'm just not playing piano on my keyboard to use 'em all at once .

Does this mean 2 people can do Urgoz and/or Deep with 10 heroes? Do you guys really think this update will happen? My guess is that if it does happen, the 7 heroes are restricted to missions, and the update won't happen for a long time, possibly even just before Guild Wars 2 comes out. What are your thoughts?
Do you guys really think this update will happen? Also yes. I'd say one of the things that's making them reconsider their 'no more than 3 heroes stance' is that once GW2 is out there will be significantly less people playing GW1 and areas that force grouping won't be playable for individual people.

Cleared FoW with my 6-heroes team and got my little statues on both accounts in one sitting plus twice the shards I would have gotten even with 7-heroes.

7 heroes is nice but I am pretty satisfied with 6-heroes, ability to split, twice the drops, possibility of having more of the same type of heroes (e.g. 6 necros, 4 rits, etc.), etc.

There are those that don't have the time or maybe resources to run multiple accounts. So 7 heroes is going to be a boon in spite of drops.

I really think people, and especially Anet, grossly under estimates how 7 heroes will break this game. Forget about your Discord/Sabway modifications. Mobs will literally blow up in seconds. Pretty much every area in the game will be a breeze to solo.

If you think Sabway or Discord made it too easy to play this game, it will be nothing compared to 7 heroes setups which will potentially be 3-4 times stronger.

On topic: I will probably set up an old school IWAY team for the lulz.

There are many reason why you are incorrect. But I wont mention them here because you posted in the wrong thread, and it has already been discussed in the WiK Survey results page.

Sure, an easy answer would be to merge spirit/mesmer/sab/discoway. Of course I will still use elements of each. To me its going to be alot more fun creating unique team builds that are just as effective. Instead of the same heros on every profession, Ill get to use physical way on my melee, Barrage/Pet builds on my Ranger, RoJway on my Monk, Racway on my Para, the list goes on. It has more to do with playstyle than steamroling through content.

Anyways, I have been using the WiK bounties as sort of a testing ground for different build combinations(even if I can only use 3 heros at a time). Its looking like I will use something slightly different for each profession in order to emphasize each one. Although, an SoS Rt and MM bomber will probably find thier way into each one. Its also a pleasant surprise to see a command/leadership paragon will fit nicely with most of my professions as well.

I've already planned out my 7 heroes for Underworld. I've been playing the following builds very often with 6 heroes using two accounts minus the warrior tank, and the only part I couldnt manage was four horsemen. But with 7 heroes I'll be able to add a tank to hold one side while I bond + infuse it, while the other 6 heroes handle the other side:



With a second monk and elly using the same builds, and the mesmer should have shatter hex instead of ether feast.

I've managed Servents of Grenth using prot bond + life bond on all 6 heroes, but with the warrior tank I'll just stick him in the middle of the terrorweb spawns with the other heroes out of range. I already have a +10 ar vs fire shield, and +7 vs elements sword for him, but cant afford the mega expensive sentinels insignias yet. The build will be tweaked if it doesnt work ofc, but I will be able to complete UW with heroes eventually.

And no, thats hardly anymore broken than shadow form speed clearing is.

Hmmm, Panic + Complicate would work really well instead of PI + Ether Feast on the bar in the picture, I'd like to try that out but dont have them on my second account.
