Really this has a lot of potential. GW 1 Time Wars would also sell well. Selling 3 games is better than selling just one!

Put me down as one of the ladies that found the quest and everything related to it very amusing!
I can't understand how anyone could consider this a waste of time. The whole point of today was to do something silly and/or trick people. Judging by the amount of stupid questions in almost every district, they didn't fail. Some people wanted a taste of GW2 in their GW and they got it.

The mission is pretty fun but some of the spikes by the mobs are quite brutal if you don't watch out. I ran into two groups fighting with near full health, they all switched to me right away, got crippled and health hit 0 in 2 seconds. Haven't gotten a green yet but loads of golds.
EDIT: It would have been better and more fun if you could actually use the gun. Don't have to animate the bullets, just make the sound for the gun.

Todays April Fools was very rich in content and I was amused. Good job all round.
I do wish that we didn't keep having new solo missions but more group stuff - I enjoy playing with my friends.

Kudos, ANet! This was a fun, quick little something for everyone's amusement. Even the update notes were kewl. I particularly liked:

But, it was missing something. It should also have had, " While in this elite form, you body-block your party and stand around doing nothing."

All week I've been on the Euro servers while ANet/NCSoft tries to get one of their peers to fix a major routing issue. In Embark beach, on Euro/English, I've not yet seen more than 4-5 other people there with me. Today I log in, and they had to have more than one district open... and mine was swamped. Still Euro/English.
Players know it's April Fools' Day... they know ANet always comes up with something... so they SHOW UP looking for it. If ANet had done nothing for today, many many MANY people would bitch. A lot more than are doing what you're doing - whining because they aren't doing things YOUR way on YOUR timeline to YOUR satisfaction.
Their priorities are right on track - pleasing the majority, and from the comments, they've done so in stellar fashion.
I don't really care for the whole military commando-esque thing in my gaming choices, but I'm still playing the content and laughing over the skill videos and the developer notes... it injected a little humor into my day, and that's always appreciated.
Now all we need is a new BBQ skill for the elementalist... "Does 80..100...150 fire damage against any Big Chicken. End effect: Causes basting for 5...10...15 seconds."

I've missed the last couple years of April Fools. So to experience this one is really great. I also enjoy the Terminator references since T1 & T2 are favorite movies. Now all we need is an Aliens movie plot tie-in
