What happens?
The game uses their name in both sides of the conversation - to indicate who the incoming whisper is FROM, and who your outgoing whisper is TO. This is to help you not be confused about who you said things to when you are talking to multiple people.
I don't know if that Zhed came from a birthday prezzie or not, but the whisper conversation looks the way it should.

I think it's important now that arenanet announces what you can get form 7th yr bday presents. Because of this duping scare going around we have a right to know if the asian minis we are buying are possibly duped or if they came from presents.

I even asked here http://redd.it/thsqk to see if it was even worth making an account and posting it on GW Guru. Should've just kept it on reddit. On a side note, I sold it to my alliance leader and he dedicated it already. Now this brings him up to 108 minipets in HoM.

That was purely delightful. All the skepticism. All the frustration. I'm glad I linked that link. I honestly hope that all these ultra rare mini's are now obtainable through gifts. Not to make the highend community suffer, but allow the lower end community to obtain things that were impossible to obtain, and will only be slightly easier to obtain (for obvious reasons) if this is the case. The highend community has made it's money off mini trading and what not, if the minipets are suddenly worth less it's not as if they will all of a sudden be broke.

Soz carn... I don't even have any high end asian minis, but this isn't right. It's like if they were to add something to the game that you spent time collecting and then every dude was given a shot at it.
They should have made new minis and new ultra rare minis. If they wanted to help people fill their homs, make it 2 minis or 3 minis per gift. 1 old one and 1 new one.
They don't really think about how they screw over people who have invested a lot of time and effort. And lets not act like they don't know. Unfortunately Vokna your screenshot could be replicated with any high-end mini with any character. The conversation can be fabricated and so can your alibi.
You might have been able to make it more convincing by having a credible alibi i.e. someone who is respected in the community - but the general skeptical community would still probably disregard the sitatuation.
Accept that everyone is a skeptic until the magic line is screenshotted and posted.
Until then, the boy who cried wolf should hope that farmers with torches and pitchforks don't show up

I hope I get an unded Kanaxai, Panda and IG from my three presents in Dec, and Jan. I will dedicate them immediately, and they will go into my storage. I won't lose any sleep over doing it, and I don't think any highend trader is going to miss the potential of me paying them hundreds of armbraces (which I do not have) to obtain one of these minipets.

That wasn't fear mongering. That was a fact that if the exploit and items
weren't dealt with, the economy is screwed.
Speaking of which.. My idea of new mini's is much better than their screwing people who had older minis. You will see no new frogs I guarantee that much. Why? Because that would be screwing one of their own. Instead it's ok to screw a few hundred of our community. We should not support that. You wouldn't be happy if you had all those mini's and they did this. So don't be a hypocrite.

Your bottom line is only correct if they remove the duped items/minis. If not there could be tons of the reissued minis already on hundreds or thousands of accounts. Most of us here only caught wind of it cuz Spun Duckys thread (which amusingly enough is closed now). If they were good at it, they could have done for quite a while without being detected.
Lastly, don't be so angry. This game is ending and that is your opportunity to get things you couldn't get earlier. Most of us will be moving on to D3 and or GW2. Now you can be the guy with the Panda in Kam. Gl with that.

(I do not nor want to own any high end miniatures, they have no value to me)
In my honest opinion, if you did not earn the cash required to buy the high end mini's at current market value through conventional means (obviously this rules out botting) nor did you win it in some contest or the Japanese GvG championship (I doubt any of those guys play anymore) you do NOT deserve a high end mini. Therefore, why would ANET screw the "economy" over and give all 7th year vets the opportunity to obtain these miniatures. I've been playing since the game came out (about 3 weeks after Beta) and I still can't honestly say that playing for 7 years entitles me to deserve the RARE CHANCE to get these mini's from some stupid birthday presents for free.
To those who earned the high end mini's then duped them the first time, you got what you asked for

PS. I don't have anything left to trade except what 4 things I have listed on highend. I have no doubts of what I have left and what is within my grasps. Highend minipets are not one of those things. Just a couple left to get anyways so w/e.
