Apparently all of the accounts that I logged into in the past month are banned. I have a buddy that gets me accounts for free, so I do kind of have an ungodly amount. (Think 30+, more than I could ever run at once, I only really used them to smurf and /dance * in towns occasionally) But didn't do anything illegitimate, just afked on rings with 6 or 7 accounts. Also I was playing on one account and occasionally saying a message in multiple districts with another.

So I cannot deny it still hurts that I cannot login at this moment. We used multilaunch and texmod on regular base. We've sent in 3 tickets each at support but no answers. Wondering for reactions or more stories. And I was pretty shocked by the reactions from that named Chris? from Anet. Is this really the reason we are banned? Losing all our work without a warning or anything.. I wonder

I'm curious, did any of you get un-banned yet?
Everyone I know, directly or indirectly, who got banned recently had their accounts restored on the 19th. The only thing we all seem to have in common is that we signed into the game. No bots, no hacks.
Although neither of our accounts ever received an email reply to our tickets, some other people I know got this canned response from ArenaNet. (Their accounts were restored by the way)
"
The account you have contacted us about has been permanently closed because it was involved in the use of an illegal third-party program. I want you to know that we take great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination. We are both diligent and conservative in determining which accounts are using programs of this type, and we terminate an account only after we are certain that such use has occurred."
Bullsh*t that they took “great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination”. It's blatantly obvious that they did a blanket automatic ban without looking into any of the accounts they permanently closed. It makes me wonder what word processor or web browser their system detected as an illegal third-party program.
I guess I'm just hacked off that they have no good method of disputing these kind of problems. Every post I made about this mess on their official forums was locked or deleted. Were they really going to handle 3700 banned accounts through their online ticket system? They can barely keep up with their GW2 tickets!
Even worse, I know that there have to be innocent accounts out there that have been banned, and will stay banned as collateral damage. Think about it. They only restored all of these accounts because they screwed up and banned so many at once, causing a huge backlash. Imagine if they only mistakenly banned like 10 accounts? Everyone would assume they were bots. And those banned would only get the generic “we take great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination” email response to their petition. Can you honestly say that ArenaNet has never done that before?
