I was never that bothered about the mass CE delay, hey if it was delayed until June I may pass my exams, no chance now though, shame really, resit year here I come.

2) Show appreciation to the entire team for what is essential a killer game
3) because I have seen that buffy episode "Once more with Feeling" far too many times, and wanted backing dancers
The fact that I got a mousemat (which i wasnt expecting), the cloth thing, the soundtrack (not expecting) and that lovely art book (im from North East England and even i can appreciate this art) is all a bonus.
The fact that they are now planning on giving me a bonus mini-pet makes me feel all warm and squishy on the inside, it's nice that a company with so many customers shows it's appreciation to some of them (admitidly the ones who spend most money, but hey)
I dont need the mini-dragon, he'll i'll probably forget about it in my storage, like the snowman summoner sitting there, but it's a nice gesture.
OK I see the argument, i really really do, that for some people this is pretty much giving them a mill straight out. Hell any person could make some REAL money off this using that site im not going to say or my post will be deleted. Infact once CE is in proper production, if they jump on it early they could make alot of money. And thats unfair to other players and agasint the ELULA etc, and it will, unfortunatly, probably happen.
But you shouldn't be bitter and say give it to nobody because a few people will spoil it. Otherwise you may as well go and complain about similar situations in real life that are a bit more important, at the end of the day, its a game.
I'm not going to sell it or anything, It's going to sit in my inventory, and proably only show its face in the guild hall. And I agree that perhaps you should block the trad eof them, but then you should block the trade of all the other mini-pets also, chances are I'll still like the Seige turtle more than my dragon, and from the sounds of it, poeple are making alot of money off of them.

I have to bow my hat to ANet for this: They did screw up (by not properly controlling their manufacturers), but when they saw how angry their fans where they acted extremely fast and gave CE buyers another bonus in reward for their longer wait. That kind of fast response to users demands is unique among most software firms and makes me nearly forget all the anger about not being able to play.

I've no idea why some of you complains about this. I would rather play factions than sit down here and wait for my CE. I'll show appreciation though, for ANET offering this and I'll accept it. Hopefully, I can play factions before this weekend. That's important not the reward.

Well, this Dragon is worth $20, but not another $70 (buying a whole new game).
If we got to keep our bonus slots (ie, I would get 4 slots, dances, and Kuunivang for $70), that might be more tempting.
My only hope is that the Dragon will be a future "Green" Birthday present.
Would that piss the CE people off? I don't see why... they got a Green for $20. But as it stands now, these are going to be worth zillions of Gold. The fact there is only a limited amount, and, as of now, no more being introduced into the market...

Well - I too wanted to get CE but did not wait to buy the regular edition because honestly the dancing thing meant nothing to me. So since no CE's were available I purchased the regular edition - no this makes me wish I waited - feels like a slap in the face. Maybe they should have told people this sooner.... oh well. Glad those who were "patient" got something out of it. I did go out and buy their game, and it was not cheap or anything, but I did learn a lesson.

I understand people are upset, but remember the CE pet is nothing but Pixels in a game. While its a shame to have to miss out on it, try not to let it bother you too much.

They are limited to the number of people buying CEs, and there's no evidence Kuunavang will ever be available anywhere else.
Basically, you're paying $20 for a chance to be super rich. It's like legal Ebay!

basically that is what every complaint boils down to.*i had to play it now and what was offered in the CE was not worth playing chapter 1 for a few days longer when i could get the Factions NOW*
there was a large extra loyal number of players who paid extra to stand by and watch the cheaper people play the game they wanted to play but couldnt.
Anet /NCSoft had a public relations disaster on their hands and gave the very unhappy customers a nice bonus to say *i am sorry and to show that we mean it here is a real treat to sweeten the deal*

I think this goes with the idea that some thing are out of control of ANet (NCSoft's decisions), but the in-game stuff is where ANet can really make a decision like this to show their appreciation/thanks.
EDIT: I think that people should be more concerned about the loot that's going to be sold by the two alliances that have access to the Elite Missions. That's where the money is and I think it'll dwarf anything the dragon can get. In fact, seeing as how entrance was cleared up in another thread, charging for entrance to the Elite Missions may be the money-maker..

did you see the sale of the person getting 1.2 MILLION for 4 stacks of (250) candy canes?1k-1.2k is common so what is your real beef except that you didnt get one and are wanting to spoil it for the ones that waited?

whats more scary, this dragon that nuked eveyone in the beta event or evil Gwen with her endless supply of firestorm? As for this mini pet idea, would we get more different pets on different birthday?

So selling it would be up to the players that owned the account. Since there is only 1, people might not be willing to risk a rare mini for 100K + tons of ectos for it. Than again, golds are useful now in factions for those who is collecting armors such as 15k armors type.

This is pretty cool, I really hope the mini version flies around. For those of you who think that now the collector's edition is merely extra money to get a game with an item you can sell for 100K + more ectos than you can count, consider this: Who in the game would be stupid enough to sell it? I mean, it doesn't do much, but now you can brag about your patience in waiting for a CE in outposts while dancing AND in explorable areas with a dragon in a holding pattern above your head.

I was just about to say screw it and get the regular edition...if my other chars weren't going to benefit from the CE upgrade I was about to say forget it cuz who wants to wait till June to make their RT or Sin? Then shell out $60 so they have a cool dance? Not me :S
Way to go ArenaNet - I haven't been convinced as a PvE player that I like Factions that much...between the confusing streets and closed portals and THEN the elite missions exclusions...I have to say responding quickly to your annoyed vip CE customers was a very good move.
