I got a little busy last week and a half, and have never personally done Jayne, but I'll get on the confirmations tomorrow. I'll look around for any others that seem under posted on that I've never done and double check them as well

Yeah Jayne is tricky. The kill itself is just straight forward touching... occasional stance to make sure your health stays at max. The biatch always seems to spawn at the side of the group i didn't approach from. I usually run past the group of undergrowth/moss and go round back, the Time Eater has been spawning pretty badly recently...
The lure is just generally persistance and trying to get the dodge right... Never had Vera drop though, only ever the staff once.

For Kenrii Sea Sorrow, I would say about medium. The fight itself was easy for me, because when I fgouht him the saltspray dragons did nothing. Run to him, get to the side where the quickshot boss is(away from Unwaking Waters) walk away while Shared Burden is on you, and get away from the slatspray dragons who probably will follow. Then from there touch touch, and Kenrii should die pretty quick. Easy-if the slatspray dragons aren't doing anything, and probably, hard-if they decide to come in and ride the lightning and stuff to you.

Cultist Rajazan
Drops: Rajazan's Fervor
Energy +5
Cold damage
Enchanting +20%
Rating: Medium (Easy to Kill)
Time: 7-10 Minutes
Location: Unwaking Waters (Explorable)
How To: Exit from Harvest Temple into Unwaking Waters (Explorable). You want to make your way to Unwaking Waters (Kurzick), where Rajazan is location. Once there, you will find a little alcove in which you can rest up, and pull Rajazan and his group to you. When I did this, i was able to pull the group he was walking with, kill them, and then fight him solo. Once his posse is murdered, pull him in, and touch away.
Warnings: On the way to him, you will encounter a bunch of those Shiroken people, Saltspray Dragons, Kraken Spawns, Creeping Carps, and possibly Onis. The Dragons, Carps, and Onis are of the most danger to you. The Dragons can rip you apart with spells, because they spawn very close to the Carps. The carps use siphon speed, which slows you down, and speeds them up. If you manage to aggro both the Carps and the Dragons, you will most likely die. Throw in the fact that Kraken's can add deep wound and degen and theres really no room for mistakes. Try not to run through multple groups of different species and you should be fine.

The lure is just generally persistance and trying to get the dodge right... Never had Vera drop though, only ever the staff once. That's basically the only way to deal with Jayne. Same tactic was used in my guide for doing Jayne with a warrior, though if the spawn isn't working out, what you can do is lure the warden mob without aggroing jayne back towards the time eater mob and lead them as far as you can. Then the next time through, usually jayne is easier to separate. However, there is a strong possibility that you will die doing this, but I was able to handle Jayne easily at 45% dp (on warrior though). Mera Regila
Impressive thread. Haven't had any luck on Strongroot, but got 2 fervors from Rajazan before he became a complete prick and stopped dropping altogether. Hmm... Maybe ill try Chkkr Ironclaw next.
it's Lorelle Jade Cutter for the beginnign boss btw. Mera Regila
Hmm... dunno abotu Chkkr Ironclaw, his group is large, they usually surround me with sins and malestrum me to death, idk if he's even possable.

Touch-downed Royen Beastkeeper in Naphui Explorable. He drops Royen's Hornbow, a +15stance, 20/20AP, +1 skill bow. He's an easy kill, but the journey to his little island is rough.
Build is modified a bit. 1) Vamp Touch 2) Vamp Bite 3) OoB 4) Plague Touch 5) Distracting Shot 6) Throw Dirt 7) Dodge 8) Zojun's Haste The two run skills are pretty necessary, as there are many large mobs of Jade Brotherhood along the way. Depending on the spawn, they sometimes stack on each other making progress difficult even with two run skills. Out of 6 tries, I made it through twice. If you can find some safe areas between the Jades to regen, then you're golden. Once to the bridge area leading to Royen's island you'll find 5 or 6 scattered Jades on guard duty. They are easily dealt with - just be careful to not aggro the last large Jade mob you ran through as they sometimes patrol rather close. Across the bridge, Royen waits at the top of a hill with his Elder Crane pet. Aggro and pull the pet to the bottom of the hill where Royen can't hit you with his bow. The crane is only level 15, so one Throw Dirt and touching away its Poisonus Bite should be enough defense while you to take it down. After that Royen is a piece of cake. Since he only uses bow attacks, Dodge, Zojun's, and Dirt will keep you safe while you gank him. Watch for his Troll Unguent and hit him with Distracting Shot. Once his healing is disrupted he'll drop like a stone. No bow yet for me, but I'll keep trying. Hopefully the run there will get easier with practice. Hanego Ategeh
Updated the top of the thread with some internal links. I've been working backwards and I am about halfway done.

Could this work for Sskai too? My ranger isn't far enough to try it myself.

Finally done with the internal links.
Whew. That took a while. Use the top of the thread to skip around for more detailed info on individual bosses and/or build variants. Thanks to all the contributors who contributed targets, rated targets, wrote thumbnail guides, submitted videos, posted pics, or discussed strategies. I tried to pick the clearest instances of guides to each boss and link them. If I missed one, or screwed up somehow, let me know. If any of the more experienced Bad Touchers sees a boss on the Hit List who is not well covered with a good thumbnail guide, please feel free to write one and post it. I suggest KnowledgeX's format as a good model: see it here. Anyone wanting to contribute but not wanting to write a guide, feel free to find new targets or confirm ratings on Unrated ones. Thanks again for all the submissions, you guys have made this thread good. Evilsod

Not a chance in hell. I gave it a go once... his main sword attacks are Seeking Blade... which does somet through block (can't remember what) and a weirdly named sword attack that is unblockable.
In short, he rips you a new one, i eventually just ran off and went to kill Geoff. As for Royen Beastmaster... i was thinking of killing him earlier, just never got round to it. Shadowgaiden
Jaizhenju Strike and Seeking Blade are both unblockable and unevadable if the user isn't in a stance(Which he doesn't have any.) So yeah, Evilsod is right about the 'Not a chance in hell' part for Sskai. 2x 150+damage every 8 seconds can rip you a new one as a ranger.

IIRC, I went and tried Sskai and he hurt me so badly that I had to run and go kill Geoffer.
He might be no problem with 2 touchers, but you'd have to be mostly done killing him by the time that 2x Throw Dirt started to wear off, or it would start hurting a lot. Knowledge
Jacqui the Reaver
Drops: Jacqui's Aegis Armor: 16 (req. 9 Tactics) Received damage -2 (while Enchanted) Health +30 Rating: Easy Time: 5-7 Minutes Location: Gyala Hatchery (Explorable). How To: Exit from Leviathan Pits into Gyala Hatchery. Make your way to Jacqui's location. You will encounter Reefclaw Ragebound on the way. Most likely you wont be able to aggro Jacqui's group before they start running towards the Creeping Carp's group. So once they finish with the first group they kill, aggro them before they go any farther. You want them to ball up so your throw dirt will be more effective. Keep your stances up, and kill Jacui. There's no need to kill his posse. Warning: The Elementalist boss in this area is very dangerous. Stay away from him. Screenshot: Knowledge
Chkkr Ironclaw
Drops: Ironclaw Slashing damage: 6-28 (req. 9 Axe Mastery) Damage +15% Energy -5 Armor penetration +20% (Chance: 20%) Health +30 Rating: Medium Time: 10-15 Minutes Location: Mourning Veil Falls How To: Exit Vasburg Armory into Eternal Grove (Explorable) and make your way to Mourning Veil Falls. Stick to the left in Mourning Veil Falls, and try avoid as much aggro as possible, using Dodge to get away from aggro as necessary. Make your way to Ironclaw's location. I believe someone in an earlier thread spoke of a fight that is supposed to ensue, but i didn't experience this. What i did was lure Ironclaw's group into the nearest set of Wardens and had them fight it out. While they were fighting I was able to take out the Mender. You can probably take out the Mender and the Dreamweaver in the first fight, if not, lure Ironclaw's group into the second set of Wardens. At the end of the second fight, there should be no casters remaining. To kill Ironclaw, you must have a bow. Start touching him with your bow, watching his actions, keeping your stances up, and throwing dirt when necessary. At about 3/4 Health, Ironclaw will use Healing Signet, use distracting shot on it, switch to your touching set, and unload. At about 1/4 Health, switch to your bow again, and watch Ironclaw's actions yet again. Distract his Healing Signet and finish him off. Warning: Always take out Mender and Dreamweaver first. The Dreamweaver is more of a threat than Ironclaw himself. P.S: I did this with 45% Death Penalty. So it is definately doable. I was dumb and got killed while manipulating the NPCs. Nice job with the format, well suited to the linking idea from the front page, which, hopefully, should make info on individual bosses easier for everyone to find. Keep it up. =-) Evilsod

It could probably work with 2 touchers (if he doesn't get the usual incredibly accurate Distracting Blow. But the thing is... is it worth it? His sword goes for 10-15k now, and is a much safer farm with a Ritualist and much quicker with a Warrior. I just went to try and kill Royen Beastkeeper. Managed the run on 15dp (went the wrong way). Also had a very weird Am Fah group that refused to even so much as retaliate when i started to kill them. The kill itself is easy, nothing special, the run is medium-hard. Job Ox
Just a theoretical idea for Sskai. Hanego mentioned the possibility of duo-ing him and making sure to gank him before the two consecutive Throw Dirts ran out. If that's not possible, perhaps throwing the left over attrib points into Curses might work. Have each ranger take Enfeeble for the Weakness condition. When Sskai's blind wheres off, just Enfeeble him and maybe he wont kill the pair while waiting for Throw Dirt again.
Two Throw Dirts at 16 Expertise should last 32 secs, giving a 13 second downtime. At 3 Curses, Enfeeble last 8 seconds. So consecutive Enfeebles will cover the non-blind time nicely. Since its a 5 energy spell with 1 second cast time, it shouldnt cut in to the duo's touching ability much. And with Weakness on him Sskai's attacks will do 66% less damage. Hanego Ategeh
Oh, ya, I'm just saying it's prob doable.
It's probably not worth it, unless both of the duo really want the item for some reason. mathijn
SSkai is easly on a dual run(did it together with miss
![]() just call your dirt and keep him blind Evilsod
But the question is is it worth doing? After all his sword is worth very little nowadays due to overfarming from Warriors (and practically everyone else for that matter). The chances it drops are getting smaller and then the chances it drops for you are half that.
Hanego Ategeh
Yeah, and then the net is also low.
A touch ranger armed with the information in this thread can make 1.5k / minute and up on average for sustained periods if you are clever about targeting, so why bother with what boils down to .1 k / minute? Non-starter as far as I am concerned. scamPOR
seems syphon speed actually works now... makes raj a bit more fun!

Yeah, this and Rajazan, I think they may have nerfed Rajazan AND Sskai due to overfarming from Riposte Warriors. If only they programmed Rajazan to switch to his staff when someone used ripostes.
Oh, and P.S., I hope someone can answer a question of mine. If you pull a boss into a group that it agros, and it isn't killed, does it have less chance to drop the green, or is it just your luck if you get him to WIELD the weapon in question. Some farms you just can't notice if they have the green or not, EX. Sunreach Warmaker, he uses a hammer yet drops a green Shield or Strongroot Tanglebranch who also drops a green Shield, yet I don't see holding it at any time. Evilsod
Thought i'd add a new guide to Ghial. I think he deserves Medium tbh. Killed him a few times today (ran to him and forgot to change stats twice :S).
Instead of going over the bridge towards Oroson, Tranquil 'henchman raper' Acolyte. Go the left way. Wait for Dodge + Zojuns to recharge (its advisable to be holding a weapon with +7 armour vs elemental) and run past both groups. Wait to regen before going over, or the patrols might be in the wrong place. Run past the first group (don't agro) and walk up the ramp. And wait for the patrol to come closer before running down the next ramp. Run far enough to break agro but not into the next group (or your dead). Avoid the group for aslong as possible before running past them and up the ramp. Run onto the bridge on the left to regen, if your feeling lucky run right down the ramp and onto the bridge towards Ghial. Once you reach the bridge, kill off both groups of Jade Knights (very easy with Throw Dirt and Lightning Reflexes - Whirling makes casters flee, never a good thing if you want them still). The most time consuming part is Ghials group. What i use to do was lure 1 enemy and Ghial would charge too.. it seems thats not working anymore. Instead just lure them out 1 by 1 (the majority come alone) using a Flatbow, the huge arc gives you time to move back. When you get closer to Ghial himself, make sure the corpses have all vanished (its safer than just trying to interrupt Flesh Golem, took me about 20 minutes to finally kill him by luring the Golem away to get rid of the corpse. Alternatively you could just bring Consume Corpse and put a few points into Death Magic. Ghial himself is extremely easy aslong as you put the occasional stance up to avoid his attacks. Job Ox
Quick tip, which I'm sure all the old pros are already aware of, for some of the tougher runs to bosses, such as Ghial and Rajazan. Pick up one of the old reliable running shields that give +45 health and -2 physical damage reduction while in a stance. Don't worry about not meeting the requirement, you'll still get the bonuses while Dodging (or Zojun's Hasting?) from place to place. Pairing one of these with a +5 energy, +health or +defense weapon makes running alot less stressful.
They're available from collectors all over Cantha and Tyria: Kiishen / 5 Plague Idols / Shenzun Tunnels, near portal to Naphui Exporable Guard Captain Mirkoz / 5 Dredge Incisors / Saint Anjeka's Shrine Axton / 5 Archaic Kappa Shells / Archipelagos, right outside Jade Flats (Luxon) Lord Dorn Lendrigen / 2 Bleached Shells / The Scar, little north of Thirsty River Hagnon Warblade / 5 Frosted Griffon Wings / Snake Dance, right outside Camp Rankor Hanego Ategeh

This is no doubt helpful in certain circumstances, and would be likely to be helpful particularly to new touchers.
Personally, I haven't really worried about carrying one of these shields, I just use Set 1, totalling +60 HP. I rarely have any kind of problem running anywhere. Touchers are a bit like cockroaches: very hard to get rid of if you're a PvE monster. Evilsod
Theres no reason not to have 1... whether your 'pro' or not at running every little helps. I've been using the Crimson Carapace Shield and a +5 armour Spatha for ages now. Extra health is useless.
Armour matters from the moment you take the first hit. Health matters when you get closer to 0. Skyy Forn
Well that's the beauty of the Carapace/sword combo for running: you get armor, health, and absorbtion.
+45 hp from the shield +~10 armor since you don't me the tactics req -2 physical dmg recieved and either +5 armor or +30 hp from sword mods. Slap on sentry's armor, and you are set. I've done chest runs in my touch build, just because I am that lazy. Besides, any ranger that likes to play around with sword builds will have these laying around anyway. Heck shields aren't customizable, so I stole mine from my warrior character. lennymon
I have more green shields than I know what to do with as a toucher, and still I typically just use my old victos bulwark though with a +5 defense modded poisonous phoenix blade. Works well when I actually strap on some warrior skills too. The other green (which is touch farmable) is the yetis arrahhsh's aegis in pongmei valley - I use touch/bite/OoB/throw/whirling/SoA/plague/distracting shot for the healing sig
this shield is -2/+45 in stance Shadowgaiden
Sword Ancient Kai - Extremely easy if there was even a category for it.
Skillset - V.Touch/V.Bite/OoB/Dist.Shot/SoA/P.Touch/Dodge/Zojun's Haste. I won't go into the run since it has been explained on many other threads. (Search - Ancient [insert name here] farming. The most popular being Koosun.) When you get to him, equipt your bow; After exactly 6 touches, it will take him 3/4 to one second to use Heal Sig; Knock it out with Distracting and rip into him. Since he doesn't strike back(Bug? *shrug*), there is no need to pace yourself with touches as it will only hinder you in killing speed by allowing the H.Sig to recharge. Sometimes, depending on your speed, he might start using the Signet again but you can out-touch it if you have +15/-1 wand and offhand on switch. If you fail to distract the Signet on the first shot, just wait for your energy to recharge and re-touch him. If distracted on the first try, the run takes 5-6 minutes on average. Easiest sword I ever farmed, though the stats aren't the best. Evilsod
Unless your an ele and can therefore kill Kai in a matter of seconds, theres no reason to kill him at all. His greens worth less than 5k.
Is it possible to solo farm Koosun though? (even though its still faster on ele). Being as the first thing he uses is Starburst, you should hopefully be able to time it to Distract it. Maybe bring Savage Shot for the Obsidan Flame to. Mistical miss
Hey all, I'm back and I'm happy to see you have not been sitting still..
Nice work on the opening post Hanego! And knowledge nice work on those small guides too!! For now I'm off to find a guild or create one, but after that I will try to contribute some more to this thread. Evilsod
Has anyone tried to kill Sunreach? Most likely as a duo... i assume solo would end with death.

Question re: Chkkr Locust Lord.
Has anyone else experienced him breaking aggro and running even after you've started touching him? Four or five times now among the many kills, he's just turned and run back to his little islet, sometimes even leading me in to extra aggro when I can't stop a touch quick enough. I thought maybe it was a buggy reaction to Whirling, but I started paying attention after the second time and he's still blinded from Dirt, so Whirl isn't even up yet. Obviously this isn't a major problem and I can still gank more often than not, but it is rather frustrating and I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this. And if so, if you've figured out why and what can be done? Thanks. Hanego Ategeh

It only happens to me when I back away from Chkkr's island to get more solo room after the fight begins, not when I stand in one place. Solution: play with Chkkr as he is on his way in to fight you to make sure you're in the right spot, then don't move unless you decide to run. Job Ox
Thanks Hanego. Maybe this is it, as I do sometimes bounce around a little trying to find a safer spot from the patrols. Also, something from Knowledge's mini-guide on Brightclaw to not switch weapon sets until after the first touch. I'll give both these a try and see if he still runs like a baby.

well, I have been trying solo and dual, and its possible to eventually whittle down sunreaches group until its just him. But, it is extremely time consuming and imo there are better ways
