I use penetracting blow instead of executioner's strike, Watchful Spirit instead of flurry(skills only cost 4 and 5 strikes). And if you still cannot get this run, stop being a baby and read the first post once. Get the skills/attributes and try it for yourself. Then come back and see what you did wrong is you did something wrong. Besdie that 9 shards in 1 and 3/4 runs (would have finished but I didn't have time )

I will let you come on a run to see what to do as long as you don't get in my way. Also, don't let the ghost guy die... Wasted 1k on that once... however next run well... It was raining shards

This is similar to the build I use.
Basically take out Shields up because with the other 2 defence buffs plus while using damage reduction armour and sheild I am only taking 0-1 damage per arrow.

The only damage I am taking is from poison so I take mendind at +3 regen to nullify nearly all damage.

My attributes are: *trying hard to recall*
Healing 8
Axe 14
Tactics 10
Strength 10

When fighting the spiders tactics wise I dont bother luring them.
What I do is have them just outside of aggro range and when I see one that has moved away from the others just slightly (i.e outside of the range of Healing spring) then I pounce on it like a hunter. It doesnt matter if some or all of the other spiders attack beacause im not taking too much damage and can quickly bring down the target. Once its dead Dolyak should run out and I tap sprint and away just enough so they give up (about 2 secs how soon they forget) then im back up full with a healing sig and looking for another prey.

Btw I use a -2 damage (enchanted) sheild as there can be small gaps between flurry stance's.

Note: remember to disable mending when fighting Driders cos it will hurt and its not needed.

Instead of the 8 in healing, use watchful spirit. also take some out of axe, put it in strength so dolyak signet lasts longer and has more armor. It is 1 less regen though but you can put more in tactics. Skale also eat it off. Shadbow mesmers take it off as well, but not sissy shadow beasts

For 10 seconds, all allies in the area are healed for 15-51 Health every 2 seconds. This action is easily interrupted.

Easily interrupted=a simple attack is enough, no need to use an interrupt skill.

Fighting strategies are the same... I use shields up when I'm pulling (no movement penalty, faster pulling) and also when I use healing signet... with the two other armor boosting skills the spiders will still do 0 damage even when using healing sginet. I shouldn't be taking damage while not using healing signet anyways so the only damage I ever get is from poison (and occasional healing signets without shields up). Even though it has the 10 energy cost zealous axe (or sword, with or without flurry) with no energy based attack means I would have nearly full energy all the time. Also, having shields up also makes this (I think) a little more lag proof. if u want ur dolyak sig on all the time replace shields up with Mantra of Inscriptions. only downside to this is that its a stance :/ and so is flurry

for me its nearly impossible you realy need to have LUCK, else you cant make it through the skales/or the too many driders/woods thingies rushing at you.

after wasting about 15p i will try UW solo tomorrow hopefully with more luck

I don't think I've had luck with every time that I go down there. There was one occasion in which I had a very, very bad spawn but still managed to pull through. Before you ever BEGIN to run past the skales, look ahead. Check the radar, hold down alt see where the enemies are camping. Then run to where it's safe, and heal. I cannot stress that enough.

To Numa Pompilius: yes the only healing spiders have is healing spring, and that's a trap (easily interrupted)... the way to fight that is in the first post.
To Azn D: I have no problems doing runs with this, I was just sharing my build. Penetrating Blow may be better/worse than executioner's. I might try that. Watchful Spirit requires a W/Mo (along with taking a -2 while enchanted shield), but it would half the poison degen = less healing signets required, so that might be better.
Doctor Death: Shields Up is unnecessary except when healing signet-ing. Could easily be replaced with a spell like watchful spirit, mending, or another attack skill.
Tibby: Mantra of Inscriptions is interesting (although that requires a W/Me)... that would replace flurry and lower requirement of strength (which would also decrease +armor on signet)...

I will say that my build probably sucks, but making it more defensive I think makes it easier incase I either mess up (activated healing signet? use shields up, it's a shout) or a lag spike hits.

the mes skill is just so u can use a stance sheild stance lasts for 30 +sec and the rechage is 20 sec so you will always have your stance up

i'll show anyone takes about 40 to 50 mins per run spiders should only be able to try and use hspring once unless you are fighting 2 or 3 beside each other
ign mono lific share people share Mono!!! Ha ha, I was wondering if you or Rhuobhe were gonna jump into this thread sooner or later and mention Wild Blow. I was about to, then I saw you on the earlier page. Long live the uber-farmers of CBE!!!

There are so many ways to do this, you can't keep count, really. You could bring Watchful Spirit to cut the poison degen to -2. Just don't cast it until you reach the spiders, and drop it before the Dryders do the honors of removing it for you. Wild Blow + Dolyak + Desperation Blow will spam conditions, break their Melandru's stance, and add mega damage. Spam Cyclone Axe when you see one cast Healing Spring, to increase the chance of interrupting his buddy. (Or just switch between spiders after one casts it). Flourish as your elite will recharge Wild Blow, Desperation Blow, Cyclone Axe, ANY energy-based attack skill, and give you the energy to use them all again immediately. Even use I will Survive for 10 seconds up / 20 seconds down +3 health regen. There are so, so, SO many different ways to do this. The only constants are Sprint and Heal Signet; the other 6 skills are very flexible.

There is always a window in their patrols, if that won't work you can try luring shadow army at the beach to kill the skales but I never succeeded in doing so

I been soloing the fow spiders this week with my war

the hardest part is really, once you get to the beach, need to be patient and just getem 1 by 1, altho i can easily stand there against a dryder and 7 spiders np. Just need some patience and good positioning.

I try to take out all the roaming dryders and snarling driftwoods, before hitting the spiders, last run i took got 4 shards a 14^50 gold chaos axe and plenty of materails which i used to make deldrimore steel and vellem, and made 5k+ off of that.

Sometimes it's a lot of back and forth running to get the right aggro and avoid any scales that might be near. I noticed that a lot of the time when the spiders bunch up the first time they are aggro'd, and stay like that untill u aggro them again then run away then they split up and are ready to get killed , tho that is mainly in the cave itself, the beach is a different story.

the map looks good but they patorl a little differ each time and the stationary mobs differ too you can sprint past all mobs and heal too bad you can't get on am server

Whew, that's good to know. When I first started doing these runs, those spots were safe everytime. However, once you do start to farm there religiously you start to realize that sometimes this isn't always the case. But, if you just look ahead, check the radar, you should be able to find a spot to stop at just fine.

my best run was last week 5 shards 4 keys 1 gold sheild nothing good but one of my guildies was complaining about the run and i was like omg on average 2 shards per run. Ruby's and sapphires some times too ,from farming spiders i have 75 shards 4 ruby's and 3 sapphires not sure on keys and stuff
i've sold about 400 spider legs that will tell you about how many times i've done that run to get 75 shards =20 25 runs i guess

Recall that continuing to fight in the same place over and over again will yield bad results (if you've ever seen that warning message). You have to mix it up to get the best results.

Right, nothing's changed since the update.

1-manned it, and 2-manned it, no biggie Got a bad spawn on the 1-man but clever use of my flatbow and my shadow buddies fixed that right up.

I got 2 shards on the 1-man, and my partner got both shards that dropped on the 2-man. On average I'm getting 0-4 shards per run, so that's 2

Chests haven't given me anything great but I know my day will come.

i was ganna try this build in uw since i use it almost everywhere else and it does me good. but then i started thinking of the bleeding,then the interupt etc then jus got lazy to redo points and a fe skills. neone actualy uw with their warrior? was wondering if its possible 1 maning using warrior
