She's a ranger with shorter range and the stealth skill that was removed from our rangers! ![]() |
States right in the article she was given two swords, a long and short sword.

a way to possibly put in a stealth move w/o making it too cheap is to make it so the marker on the minimap of that person dissappeared. i know when i fite in pvp i look at the minimap alot to see where enemie players are. though it would only be good in pvp. cant figure out how to make it work in pve... but its an idea. any suggestions on how to implement a stealh move in pve?
stealh ?we dont even have a walk option
anyway - could desapear from minimap for like 5 to 10 sec ... mobs would not atack ... this would made this babys hell of good runners , hiding stealh style.
cool ideia
the theme assassin doesnt fit me also tho .. should be something more medieval , assassin reminds of someone with a sniper rifle right there.

| I swear to god, if they introduce an Assassin into the game, I'll quit GW forever. |
Not having played any of these, I cannot see the big problem with assassins. Also, having played GW, I am pretty condident about Anet's ability to make any new class they introduce both balanced, different and fun. They managed to make all other classes pretty balanced and unique, or so most people think (please do not get into that discussion), so why not a new profession with sneak and dual wield skills? I am sure that they will playtest that class very well and I am sure it will have it's uses without being UBER or something like that. (Though I am sure many will claim any new class is UBER or completely useless, no matter what it is and can do, that it is just the way people are).
To me, an assassin sounds like fun. Killing the guild lord with a sneak attack should not become too easy, though.

Inde, you may want to change the title again to "Confirmed 1st New Class Information from Chapter 2: The Assassin."

Implimentation of stealth in PvE is pretty simple: just reduce the agro circle. Removing the blip from the radar seems like something plausable for PvP, but then I don't PvP; long as they don't impliment true invis-style stealth everything should be fine.
What I really wonder about, personally, is wether there will be an option to change primary class to one of the new professions somehow. Would hate to have to start over my main character (now a ranger) to make him over as an assassin (haven't bought FoW armor yet, but still....).

Play Magazine is a great publication. We love the coverage that they've given Guild Wars. They loved the game so much, early on, that they expanded and extended one of their previews over two issues. We were happy to have them premiere the concept art (which I happen to think is absolutely lovely) and the lore and other info present in this issue. I don't have a copy in my mitts yet, but I'm eager to see it! __________________ Gaile Gray Community Relations Manager ArenaNet Guild Wars Site & ArenaNet Site |
