They probably didn't want to show a Warrior in Ringmail. I don't think that's a very good advertisement for the game.

It's a waste to rush a Monk. You'll never be a good Monk unless your do missions with parties that are just barely good enough to win.

I don't think +2 is significant. I always go for the +5 mod.
