the key is to pull the charr in small groups at a time, unless as lifeinfusion said, that you come back as a lvl 20.

the wingblade is nice. i definitely would not salvage it, since you could sell it for so much more because of the +dmg>50.

most of the people criticizing monks are probably first time players anyways. they dont realize that most quests and missions are able to be done...

that is correct. other armor pieces dont have a +1 except for helms/caps/etc. so its 15 for all, while 16 for helms. correct me if i'm wrong.
