For collector items. LOTs of collector items. You can get items that sell well, or armor that salvages for some good materials.
It works well in some areas, not so well in others...particularly bad in areas where mobs don't leave dead bodies to exploit.
They always have been able to do all that with my characters. I rather enjoy having a minor challenge.
