I think the weekend events are just fine. If it's something I won't participate in, I don't.
I played through eton without grinding at all. You can choose to grind or not. Too small to be worth the original price but I liked it at least.
Maintained enchantments aren't numbered when you put them on so to add a new hotkey to dismiss enchant #1,2,3 etc wouldn't really work....

To use gfte the most effectively, don't you need an energy based spear attack?
Tyria is not actually saved until the titans are defeated. Not really that important but I voted yes.
