this is just a guess but if all his attacks deal fire damage you could use mantra of fire for energy and even if it is useless damage reduction

I am not the best person to answer this but to your first question yes you can re distribute your skill points at any time you are in an outpost....

I am not an expert here but I would assume anything that adds to energy or health is fine. Obiously no armor plusses but I really dont think it...
