Out of all the monstrous rares, I have never gotten an eye before. I've seen phantasmal armors drop from the FoW chests before.
You could also take the right path the hydras take, go past the groups of dryders, past a group of golems, and a Coldstone should be right there....

Did you start from Droknars or War Camp? Devona and friends don't start being henches until Thunderhead or War Camp I believe.
I prefer UW, but that's because I find a 55/SS combo fastest for farming.
