You can turn completed books in to one of 4 npc's, one for each race. it counts for 2500 points, then you can get another one and fill it...
If you understand what the book's purpose is, then this whole thread topic should be irrelevant.
Silly question but... did you participate in the preview weekend? If so you can pick up where you left off.
