Vabbian-skinned items also drop from Ancient Elonian Chests, so you're better off playing in the Desolation.

Everyone needs to stop hating Hard Mode because of their own dysfunctions. Do you NEED people? No. You can hench and hero almost everything....

The game can already recognize the difference between an old character and a new character by the same name, so it shouldn't be too terribly...
