They are pretty strong in (team) hex builds, but that does not make up for the rest of the build's...er...putting it bluntly, badness. I guess...

Single-target smiting skills are virtually worthless. The only skills I would actually use (in other builds) are Signet of Humility and Smite Hex....

Unless you're facing a team Dervish, which uses nearly no Enchantments.

So you're basically trading your usefulness for their usefulness, except you're expending a whole lot of energy doing it and they aren't.
