It's also not at the last town (or any town), but there are 3 missions to do right before it. It's an event, not a place.

Ya, as you move west you'll see snowy mountains, coastal forests, deserts, dense jungles and more. But there is no area like pre-sear Ascalon.

Right OK, then this single world of Tyria has over 200 cities of Ascalon located in the same space? That's amazing. It's Tyria btw.
I haven't done every quest, there are a few I didn't feel like doing because they would take too long. I did most of the ones I found though.
