but is the recharge fast enough on healing hands to keep him alive? after he uses it he has a wide amount of time before he can use it again

Yeah its amazingly easier to level in this game but we all suggest you play through it once before you get rushed to 2/3 end of the game and...
a). you cant change mods on a green b). even if you could mods dont change skins of the weapon
