Checked out the specs. Doesn't have S-Video, so you are stuck with RCA. Try using microsoft cleartype to clean up the text.

I would have to say go with the Maxtor for 2 reasons. 1) 16MB cache=less search time on the drive 2) 5 year warranty (can't beat that)
