Considering that if you don't have one of those skills, a physical is going to rip you to pieces in about 3 seconds, I think things are balanced.

I wouldn't go, just because then I'd have to hang out with the type of people who'd go to a Guild Wars con.

Powerleveling has no purpose in this game. Just do some quests.
