Paragons are great support characters. Not many people are good at them though.

I did the same thing when I gor nightfall. It drove me crazy trying to get it to work.

Thats the fun of the different campaigns... you can take your PVE characters to each of them.

miskav is right. decide your build then get the weapon you need.
