health + 30 would only be better against degen, and it makes it harder to heal because you have more life. It works better against attacks that...
10 pips degen max, i would say take out whirling defence for conjure, and take out hunters shot for pin down.
the attacks that ignore armor wont have an effect on the +30 grip/pommel unless you have less than 30 life after the attack.
