You do not need factions inorder to travel from Tyria to Elona as long as you own Both Prophecies and Nightfall. And have the CD keys linked to...

While i agree that we should have ranks within the guild chat channel i don't think it should be like a title or easily recognizable addition...

Basically if you don't have Prophecies you can't get it. Not sure if you only have factions or not. Also the best place to look for...
