I'd say around 120k or so, sure.

Damage reduction adds up! Armor/Shield/Rune - it all helps. One possible solution would be to buy your full suit of 15k platemail for hanging out...

I've only seen gold Celestial drops as well - and it seems exceptionally hard to get a GOOD celestial drop.

Yep, if you have 10k Kurzick faction (for example) and you do a quest for 400 more faction, you still have 10K Kurzick faction. It's a hard limit.
