I've gotten 1-3 key from doing the vermin thing today.

You must be doing it A LOT - personally I have been farming the same place for >3 hours a day and I've never gotten the message or lower...

^ same, and almost all chest were gold. EDIT: But then again when soloing I guess it would make sense

please not again.... 90% of all caster weapons are like that, 2-3 unmatching attributes, hardly anything newsworthy.

Yeha it's really likely that the game mechanics in an EXISTING game suddenly gets changed, happens all the time....
