Allright, here's where the 4 portals are located on the empty gate.

You can see 2 of them from the gate of secrets (B and C), and the third shows up on your mini map but out of sight ( A ).
You can see portal A clearly from gates of torment but no other.
From the gate of pain you can see portal D and portal C and a small part of portal B.

My 2 cents on the whole issue about favor and Razah:
You only need favor and beaten the game, to enter the realm for the first time. After that, you get in a town, which can be acessed via the map. There will be a town, since all Missions need to start in a town, as the rest in NF. Razah will be a quest in one of the areas, maybe this quest only opens after beating the Elite Mission.
MAYBE the statue of Kormir is bugged, just like Grenths was before, meaning UW could be accessed from Dreadnoughts and Ascalon Foothills as well as ToA. So you could access the realm after beating Abaddon. On the other hand, I doubt it, since this statue clearly instructs you to go to the CoS. Also the avatar summoned by kneeling differs. I suspect at Abaddons is Kormir and the other one is just a minion, since they are differently named.

Maybe its just my interpretation if I read Elite Mission, and think of Urgoz and Deep. UW and FoW werent really 'missions', more just ' Elite Areas'. On the other hand, Tombs is 'Elite Mission' and SF also was an 'Elite Area'

If there is a town: it will be missionlike, as in Urgoz, Deep and Tombs.
If there is no town: it will be like UW, FoW, SF

Screwed up logics at work: considering Gaile said its NOT SF-like update, there WILL be a town and its Mission-based.

I think this is something different. It almost sounds like you will earn new weapons rather than luck into them, but I guess time will tell.

Personally, I'd hope they make it public access all the time. I'm bloody sick of being punished for success or failure of people I've never met. Having to beat Nightfall is an acceptable requirement.

when you're at the login in screen, there is now an option to select your region...that basically tells me that you will HAVE to be in a region that has favor to get in DoA

Having Koss or Orgu running around in FoW armor will be sweet since I never liked warrior FoW to get it for my warrior but would not mind having a hero with it
If Razah is here then there might be an armor upgrade for him after doing a quest or something like that.
But I still think armor upgrades are for us and it has to do with inscriptions.

If thats the case then I hope all the whiners stop complaining and realize how great Anet is by listining to us.

Ofc, 1 of the circles is not available in the torrent map, PROBABLY a town accesable via DoA will be there. This means u can MAP there and you do not need to have favor every time u enter DoA. Also as I explained before, it means it will be Urgoz/Deep/Tombs like Mission with nice rewards at the end.

If you look at this map-screenshot, there is a unknown area in Realm of Torment. This is rumoured to be the DoA, which you probably get transported to via the Statue.
If you look at the exits, it has 5 in total. The 4 bottom ones lead to purplish areas, which correspond to portals, as seen in other Torment maps. The upper one probably leads to Gates of Torment (the first city), very similar to the exit on the Shadow Nexus town, also back to Gates of Torment.

Note that the town looks rather big, compared to other Torment towns.

Here's my speculation for what it's worth. First, i think it's going to be an outpost, maybe not a fast travel one, but an outpost none the less. There was mention of quests (10 i think) and a mission. Being an explorable, there will more then likely be some questing involved to even get to the mission itself.

Gaile confirmed "new armor", the login confirms "new weapons" and the scribe confirms "new gem types" all with new ways to acquire. Pretty sure there is nothing there for heros armor, you can exchange thier armor in the challenge missions as it is.

As far as favor, the way it works now and I'm absolutely sure this is the case, is that you cannot access Komir without favor, so this may either change or it may just be that once you get through you can just fast travel. With as much complaints about the favor system as is, i would hope they didn't make favor a req.

Was'nt the context of the question about armor in ch4 and it not being as 'ugly' as ch3's?

Not saying there won't be new armor(I've mentioned a few time I think we're a set short) but just making sure the context of Gailie's answer is taken into account. The website only mentions Armor Upgrades..

I doubt that has anything at all to do with anything more then providing the asian areas with a fast switch due to the release of the chinese beta. It is after all only the asian areas in the list, no euro or american servers there.
